a Recipe by Jake Nobello
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
1 cup fresh watermelon chunks
1/2 cucumber, peeled and chopped
2-3 celery stalks, chopped
A small handful of fresh cilantro leaves
1-2 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)
1 egg (optional, for added protein)
1/2 cup water (adjust for desired consistency)
1/2 cup milk (dairy or plant-based, optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients: Wash and chop all the fresh fruits and vegetables as needed.
Blend the Fruits and Vegetables: In a blender, combine the pineapple chunks, watermelon chunks, chopped cucumber, celery, cilantro leaves, and honey.
Add the Egg (Optional): If you choose to include an egg for added protein, crack it into the blender.
Adjust Liquid: Depending on your desired consistency, add water and milk (if using) to the blender. You can start with a smaller amount and add more if needed.
Blend Until Smooth: Blend all the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and creamy texture. This may take a minute or two.
Taste and Adjust: Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if necessary.
Serve: Pour the Pineapple Watermelon Smoothie into glasses and garnish with a small sprig of fresh cilantro or a slice of pineapple, if desired.
Enjoy: Sip and enjoy this hydrating and refreshing smoothie.
This smoothie is packed with vitamins, minerals, and hydration from the fruits and vegetables, making it a great choice for a healthy snack or breakfast. You can customize it by adjusting the sweetness and thickness to your liking.
