Ingredients:
1 pound of carrots, peeled and sliced into thin rounds or matchsticks
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons maple syrup
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
In a saucepan, bring water to a boil.
Add the sliced carrots and cook for about 5-7 minutes or until they are just tender. Drain and set aside.
In the same pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the boiled carrots to the melted butter.
Pour in the maple syrup, and toss the carrots to coat them evenly.
Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the carrots to caramelize and absorb the flavors of the maple syrup.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed.
Garnish with fresh parsley for a burst of color and added flavor.
Transfer the maple syrup glazed carrots to a serving dish.
This recipe is quick and brings out the natural sweetness of the carrots enhanced by the rich flavor of maple syrup. Enjoy your easy and delightful maple syrup glazed carrots!
