Chapter 10

I woke in a new room surrounded by light. The bed I laid on was very comfortable, as I began to move pain shot through me causing me to yell out. I heard a door fling open and suddenly Zeke was there.
"Hey hey don't move." He said looking at me. He turned to look at someone else. A man I hadn't met was sitting in a chair by the door.
"Ambrose get Meadow. Tell her we need pain meds" He said. The man nodded before he left the room. It was now just me and Zeke.
"I'm sorry. I told you I was weak." I said quietly. I looked down noticing I'm still naked but covered with a blanket.
"Cassie do you realize that when they bit into your leg they broke bones, tore tendons and you lost a substantial amount of blood and still you fought them off and walked on it for another 10 minutes until your body called and realized it had lost too much blood. That's not weak. I wouldn't have been able to do that." He said quietly as he ran his hand through my hair. When his hand grazed my forehead it would shoot electricity through my body and it stopped the pain. I grabbed his hand quickly and held it as the pain began to become tolerable.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable" Zeke said. I shook my head.
"It wasn't uncomfortable but your touch is shooting electricity through my body making the pain more tolerable." I said quietly.
"Would you be uncomfortable if I laid next to you in boxers? For pain ease strictly." He asked. All I craved was his touch in this moment. I shook my head.

Zeke began stripping I looked down at my arms so that he would have some sort of privacy, I heard him chuckle causing me to look up. He had muscles and abs galore, he was a very attractive man. I looked up to meet his gaze. He was watching me stare which caused me to blush.
"It's okay Cassie I'm not offended or shy about myself" he said quietly as he walked to the other side of the bed. He crawled in next to me as his body rested against mine, I suddenly felt all the pain start to slowly fade away. I relaxed slightly the more the pain faded.
"Are you okay?" He asked quietly in my ear.
"Yeah the pains almost gone. I just wish it would heal already so it would be gone." I said quietly.
"Since you've gotten your wolf, you will heal faster but Meadow said it would take 2 or 3 days. I can lay here until you're healed if you would like?" He asked quietly.
"I can't ask that of you. You're the alpha you have other people depending on you. Plus you have to eat, shower, take care of yourself." I said quietly looking at him.
"Cassie... Brecken has agreed to fill in running everything by me for the next 4 days and as for the rest we're in my room. I can bath when you do, eat when you do, etc." He said causing me to blush again.
"I mean I can bath separately but at the same time" he said looking to me as it asking what I was thinking.
"I don't want to move because the pain was so bad" I said quietly. He wrapped his arm behind my head as he pulled my head to his chest. I rested my head on his chest, after a few minutes I had managed to fall back asleep. When I woke again it was darker but without looking I could feel Zeke under me as the electricity continued to flow through me. I glanced up towards him carefully he was asleep, the sun was setting so it was harder to see him. All I could see was the outline of his face and I could see his eyes were closed he looked peaceful as he slept. He began letting out a light snore which concluded the fact he was indeed asleep. As he slept I watched him for awhile, lost in thought.

After awhile he turned towards me still asleep as he pulled me to him. We laid facing each other and I continued to watch as he slept. I don't remember falling back asleep but eventually I did. When I woke up again I heard Zeke talking.
"No I'll ask if she's hungry when she wakes up and then I'll eat." Zeke said.
"She's doing fine besides being attacked by her old pack and left with a broken bone, rejected by her first mate, banned for actions she didn't make, and being alone for months." Zeke said. I couldn't hear who was on the other side of the conversation.
"I know she's my mates Meadow but she's been through hell I'm not pressuring her into anything. She's free to make her own decisions." He said getting aggravated.
"Of course I hope she chooses me as her mate not just for me but also the pack she'd make an amazing Luna but I'm not pressuring her into anything as I just said." He said with a slight sadness. I couldn't handle listening no more so I looked up to face Zeke so that he knew I was awake. He stared down at me smiling.
"Are you hungry love?" He asked me. I nodded.
"Cassie's awake you can bring the food up." Zeke said before hanging up the phone and looking back to me.
"How'd you sleep? Any pain? Need anything?" He asked.
"I slept pretty good, no pain right now, and I really have to pee but I'm not ready for the pain when I move. How'd you sleep?" I asked quietly.
"There shouldn't be much pain you have had pain meds in your IV most of the night but I stayed just in case I hope you don't mind. That's the best sleep I've had in years." He said smiling at me.
"I don't mind it was the best sleep I've had since my parents died." I mumbled quietly. I sat up to head to go pee the pain was there but it was like a pinch so I could tolerate it. I slid to the edge of the bed with the sheet around me as I was still naked and went to stand but before I could Zeke was in front of me.
"You have a broken leg Cassie. You can't walk on that. May I help you?" He asked sticking a hand out. I nodded and he scooped an arm around my waist and helped me stand and headed to the bathroom. It was a little funny hopping but Zeke carried my weight most of the way.
"I'll leave you to it, just let me know when you're done I'll get you one of my shirts." He said as he walked out of the bathroom shutting the door behind him but leaving it cracked.
