Chapter 20

When I woke up Zeke was still asleep and it was 8:23am so I went to the bathroom and went pee. I threw my hair in a ponytail and I went to the kitchen. I started myself a cup of coffee and dug through the fridge. I pulled out eggs, bacon, avocado, mushrooms, green onion chives and some cheese. I made the bacon and crumbled it. I cracked the eggs into the pan adding in the bacon, mushroom, green onion chives and cheese letting it cook. Then I grab vanilla yogurt, some granola, the strawberries and blueberry. I cut the strawberries in half and added the yogurt, granola, strawberries and blueberries together. I started a cup of coffee for Zeke. When the omelettes finished cooking, I pulled out 2 plates adding an omelet to each. I cut up an avocado into 6 slices adding 3 slices to each omelet. Then I grabbed 2 small bowls adding the yogurt blend to both. Just as I set the bowl down, Zeke walked into the kitchen behind me.
"Good morning baby" I said smiling. He smiled when he seen me.
"Good morning my love, sleep well?" He asked.
"I did indeed, today I have to do some work on the computer. I forgot I still have a job. If I don't get some work done I'll be fired" I said quietly.
"What do you do?" He asked curiously.
"I'm a lawyers assistant." I replied.
"Do you want to do anything else with your life?" He asked as he began to eat.
"I'd like to be a teacher. Like the ones online" I said quietly.
"So sign up for school today and put in your 2 weeks at the law firm. We have plenty of money." Zeke said looking over at me.

"Are you sure?" I asked him.
"I want you to do what makes you happy, plus with the teaching degree you can teach here too if you want. The kids will love you. I just wanna be supportive." He said smiling at me. We finished eating and drank our coffee.
"That was amazing my love, I gotta get ready I have a meeting in an hour, think about what I said okay?" He asked as he was getting up.
"Be careful at your meeting please and I will" I said quietly. He walked over kissing me passionately. I walked around the counter to make another cup of coffee. While it was roasting I looked over and noticed a door so I walked to it, there was a balcony off of the kitchen. I hadn't noticed it before, I went out and drank my coffee while sitting outside. When I went back in, I walked to the closet and took my pajamas off. I found a pair of black leggings and a burgundy tshirt and put them on. I walked towards the office and I heard talking.
"I do not care. What she did to my future wife and the Luna of our pack is unforgivable. She is banned from the pack. She needed to learn a little respect. Shes acting entitled." I heard Zeke say into the phone. I walked into the office, he smiled at me and put his hand out for me to come to him. So I did, as I reach him I sat on his lap.
"Truett I understand she's your daughter but this is my pack and my Luna she was threatening." He said in a low growl. I tapped the desk and pulled the phone away his ear. I put it on speaker and muted it.
"Why don't we give her another chance? But she won't be aloud in our house. At the wedding. Or near me." I said to him. Zeke pondered it for a second before nodding. I took the phone off of mute.

"Hi Truett, this is Cassie" I said.
"Cassie! I am so sorry about the behavior of my child." He said ashamed.
"Listen so I was just speaking to Zeke. I don't want her to be banned as I know what that feels like. So we're willing to give her another chance but for right now she can't come near me. She can not come into the pack house or to the wedding. Is that understood?" I asked harshly.
"The wedding? Please let her go to that." Truett said.
"Absolutely not. She said if I didn't call off the wedding I wouldn't live long enough to be married. If she wishes to stay then she must abide by our rules." I said sternly. I heard a gasp.
"That's not what you told us you said to her, I'm over here fighting for you to stay and you're lieing after threatening our lunas life. You should be ashamed of yourself." We heard over the phone.
"Truett is everything okay?" I asked.
"Yes ma'am sorry. She told us this happened because you wouldn't let her drink wine with you and So she told you she would steal it. And then next thing I knew she was getting banned. I had no idea she threatened your life or I would've never called and begged" He said.
"We understand but she is your daughter so she's your responsibility. Keep her away from the luna and the lunas house and wedding. Is that understood?" Zeke asked.
"Absolutely alpha Zeke I'm so sorry for what she put you through." Truett said before Zeke hung up the phone.

"You never cease to amaze me, you have such a big heart. The amount of forgiveness you carry is crazy" Zeke said.
"I don't want to see someone else suffer the way I did. Sometimes it's of their own doing but sometimes it's a situation like mine where it's you being punished for another's choices." I said quietly. I leaned over and kissed him softly before standing and walking to my own desk. I sat down and began searching up ways to earn teaching degrees at home. I applied to some schools. I went online and doing some shopping with my debit card. I ordered a new phone, some new clothes and some new books. Then I opened the email box and signed in. My email had blown up since I had missed so much work. I spent hours catching up, at one point Zeke left for another meeting. I continued to work after he left, when I got the workload done I looked down at the clock it was now 4:30. I wrote an email to my boss that I was resigning but I could do a 2 week notice if I could would from home. He emailed me back immediately.
'If working from home is what you need, you can do that indefinitely as long as you stay on with the firm.' He emailed back.
'I would love too but I'm applying to colleges to be a teacher' I said.
'That's fine, while you're in school you can work from home. I can write you letters of recommendations for all schools' he said.
'Let me think about it. I'll get back to you Tuesday, that's okay?' I asked him.
'That works great! Talk to you Tuesday.' He said.

I got off the computer and grabbed a book I went to the living room and opened the curtain. It was storming but beautiful. I turned on the fireplace and climbed in the chair and began reading. I don't remember dozing off but I woke to Zeke climbing in the chair.
