Chapter 24

Amoura opened the door and pulled me inside.
"Hi Luna, I'm Amoura. I'm going with you wherever you go. I have everything my mom left with me ready to go." She said smiling. Two men appeared behind her, it was Meadows husband, Emiliano and her son, Ryatt.
"We'll go with the alpha and keep him safe" Emiliano said. I hugged him to say thanks. Amoura and I left and headed to the pack house. We entered the back door as Brecken and Zeke entered the front door.
"Did everything go okay?" I asked concerned.
"Yes, they loaded her and took her with them. I sent Stetson, Truett and Leighton to retrieve everyone willing to fight. They'll be here within 30 minutes. Brecken and Amoura will start letting people know the plan and loading them up. You and I are going to go upstairs so we can talk for a minute." He said looking to me. I nodded and followed him upstairs. As we got upstairs Zeke picked me up wrapping my legs around his waist and walked into our room. He closed the door and locked it behind him. He dropped my lightly on the bed, when he looked at me all I could see was pure hunger.
"Zeke right now is not the time" I said quietly.
"It is the time. We are going to battle, I don't know if I'll ever be able to hold you again. It is the time" he said as he climbed overtop of me. His presence overtop of me was driving me insane with need. He slammed our lips together and sparks shot through my body. "I love you Cassie. No matter what happens be careful." He said looking at me.
"I love you Zeke. Don't worry about me, focus on protecting yourself and the pack members. I'll have Amoura and Brecken, I'll be okay." I said quietly. We walked to the closet and he threw on sweat pants and a sweatshirt. I put on a pair of leggings and a tshirt. Before sliding a hoodie on. Zeke bent down for me to get on his back and I did. He held onto me tightly. We began to walk down the stairs, he stopped halfway down.
"Remember that you are a special breed Cassie. You have gifts nobody else does. Use them when you need too." He said before continuing to walk down the stairs. As we reached the bottom Zeke let me down off of his back and grabbed my hand. We walked into the hall by the front door, it was full of people. My mouth dropped. There had to be at least 150 people in here.
"All of these people have volunteered to fight" Brecken said smiling. I suddenly felt nauseous. I ran for the trash can in the kitchen and puked in it.
"Are you okay?" Amoura said as she appeared in the kitchen.
"Yeah, I just.. all of those people are putting their lives in danger for me. I feel guilty." I said quietly.
"We love you Cassie. It's an honor to fight next to you" she said. I smiled lightly at her words. We walked back to the room where everyone stood.
"We're going to show them who they're messing with"
"Our Luna needs us and we must protect her."
"We'll teach Alpha Roland who he's tried to take from us"
I heard people saying as I walked through the crowd. When I reached Zeke, I turned to everyone. They all went silent and looked at me.
"Listen if you don't want to fight, you do not have too. If you do go to this fight, I expect to see every single one of you back here in one piece and breathing. No matter what happens you all have families. Protect yourselves and protect each other. I can take care of myself, do not worry about me." I said loudly.
"You're our Luna. We'll protect each other and you at all costs." I heard someone say.
"Just promise you'll get my daughter back" Santana said.
"I promise you I will get Leilany back even if it costs my life." I said to her. I felt Zekes eyes shoot to me. I grabbed his hand and squeezed it to reassure him. Without another word everyone loaded up to go.
