Chapter 36

Zeke's POV

"Before we go I wanted to talk to you about a few more things. I know you don't care about my money but as you are about to be my wife, you should know I'm loaded." I said with a smile.
"I have my own money and plan to make my own, I don't want you money baby" she said.
"I know but before I was alpha I owned a company, I sold it because I didn't have time. I made enough off the company and the sell to cover everyone in the pack in needed. The reason I'm telling you this is because once we've settled and what not, I want to start a new one but with you and Brecken." I said.
"What kind of business?" She asked curiously.
"Well I figured we could decide once you decide what you want to do for school. I was thinking if you became a lawyer, you could be the companies attorney. If you decided to be a doctor, I'd build a hospital. And I also think you'd make an amazing teacher so if you decided to do that, I'd build a new school." I said. She became lost in thought as she considered the options.
"I like the doctor and teacher angle, but I think the teacher one is more fitting." She said.
"I agree but whatever you decide, we can go from there. I just wanted to talk to about it." I said. She leaned up and kissed me.
"Sounds like an amazing idea, let's go help Brecken" She said.
"Anything you wish baby" I said, as we both got up. I grabbed her hand and we walked to find Brecken. When we found Brecken, he looked nervous.

"She agreed to date night, now I just have to plan it but I have no ideas" he said, panicking.
"Don't worry, she likes simple. I have so many ideas!" Cassie said excited. Brecken calmed a bit looking at her curiously.
"Want to share them?" He asked nervously.
"You could start by making homemade pizzas together, she loves pizza. The make homemade brownies, she loves brownies. Then while you're eating, get to know each other. After dinner and dessert, have a movie marathon. She loves horror movies!" She said excited.
"See I love her already. Those are 3 of my favorite things." He said.
"I can do all the set up with Zeke and Ava's help, in your room" She said.
"Thank you so much, you're a life saver" Brecken said hugging her. I smiled thinking about how much everyone loved her. There is no way my parents could hate her, my mom needed to at least try. Brecken went to tell Jay what time and where to meet him then to get ready. Cassie and I went to Ava for help.
"We're planning date night for Brecken and Jay" Cassie said excited. They talked over the plans and Ava got everything needed for the pizza and brownies. She took them to the Breckens kitchen.
"I'm going to get the movie list picked out, then set up the room. I'll need help setting up the room" She said smiling.
"Okay I'm going to run and check on Jax, I haven't checked on him today. Then I'll be there" I said kissing her head softly. She looked sad as if she had forgotten he was here. She didn't need his stress on-top off her own right now so everyday I make an appearance and Leilany is usually there throughout the day.

"It's okay to not be ready yet baby. After everything you deserve to take time before jumping back in with him" I said trying to reassure her.
"I know I just forgot he was here" She said sadly.
"That's okay, I've been doing daily checks and Leilany is there throughout the day." I said. She smiled softly.
"I'll be back shortly my love" I said. She nodded before we both went to our destinations. I walked into the dungeon and Jax was alone. Leilany must have run an errand or something.
"How are you doing today? Need anything? Ready to come out?" I asked him. I had been trying to let him out for a day now but he refused.
"I need Cassie to forgive me before I leave here. I need my mate to see me as more than a threat. No matter what she says, I hurt her in that dungeon. I can't trust myself if others don't trust me." He said quietly.
"Well then you'll be here awhile." I said.
"That's okay, after everything I did. I deserve to spend some time here." He said. I just stared at him.
"He beat me and tortured me. It took a month and a half of him torturing me for me to even be able to join them. Then they tell me I have to hurt family, I was very lost. I was also being poisoned with wolfsbane. She might never forgive me but I need her to see that I am sorry. I'm glad she has you Zeke. You're everything to her that I couldn't be. She deserves that." He said.
"I know she does. She needs my help so if you are going to stay and don't need anything, I must go" I said. He nodded. I left and headed to Breckens room. I stopped on my way and called my mom. The phone rang twice before it was picked up.

"Hello" a deep voice answered.
"Dad?" I asked.
"Hezekiah?" He asked.
"Yeah it's me, where's mom?" I asked him.
"She's in the shower right now. She should be done any minute. How are you? How's Brecken?" He asked lowly.
"We're okay. We're good. We both found our mates. I'm getting married. How are you guys?" I asked.
"We're okay, I'm happy for you both. Congratulations on the wedding. When is it?" He asked.
"This weekend. I want you guys to come." I said. There was a brief silence over the phone.
"We'll be there. Is the pack okay with us coming?" He asked quietly.
"Dad the pack will always love you. It was you who left the pack." I said before I caught my words.
"I know.. I just left and don't wanna step on any toes." He said.
"They have accepted why you left and understand. I just want you guys to meet my wife. I want you to meet Breckens mate. She's a quiet one but she's a good person. She saved pack members lives before she even joined the pack. And my fiancé saved the whole pack during a fight." I paused for a second "She's a pure." I said.
"Damn son the moon goddess blessed you both, especially you. There's hasn't been a spotting of a pure in hundreds of years." He said.
"I know but she earned it honestly. Her parents were Huxley and Maliyah Solace." I said. There was another silence.
"They were some of the best people I've ever known. So your mate is Cassiopeia?" He asked.
"Yeah, she's pretty amazing. I never knew I could love someone the way I love her if you want me to be honest. She's stubborn though." I said.
"We'll just have to watch your mother, you know how she is." He said.
"That's why I wanted to talk to her. There will be none of those old shenanigans anymore. She will respect and get to know her before making judgements." I said sternly.
"Who's on the phone?" I heard in the background.
"Here's your mother, I love you son." Dad said.
"I love you too pops" I said.
