I rushed inside and gathered everyone to inform them about what happened. The soldiers joined and they filled them in on our plan. "So are we being attacked Kami?" Dana asked me. I ignored her as Wasmia and Fahad, twins of aunt Mariam, ran to me and I hugged them. "You're mother is talking to you!" Fahad scolded, "and I am not... I got no time for your and her drama okay?" I bickered, "you're being disrespectful to your parents" Uncle Khalid joined the conversation, "no I am not and they aren't my parents anymore okay... and it's none of your goddamn business" I continued, "oh is this how you're gonna treat us from now on? The people who took you in? Classic you! Of course, if nothing goes your way you just become a nightmare to deal with" Dana contested. I stood up and got so mad at what she said, because it was all a big ass lie and sighed in frustration and wanted to fight with her, but it is not the right time. "Can we just be honest? I was never as bad as you made me out to be... you just needed me to be bad, so you could justify how badly you treated me." I started, "but... no more. Consider me staying here until I make sure you are all fine surviving alone as a thank you for a loving home... minus the fucking loving part" I continued, "you always hated us and loved the fact that you thought we were the monsters who pulled out of the street life which you loved" Fahad scolded me and I just shook my head snickering at what he thought of me. I couldn't change that in them, what they think of me will never change. I've tried so many times.

After I was done talking to her. Matthew said that we'd keep him in the workshop and get information and when the time comes for him to leave, if we find it a good idea, then he will. But until then no one comes to the workshop except for all four of us, me, James, Matthew, and Alexander.

We were headed to where we kept the hostage. All of us entered and Matthew interrogated him first and then Alexander and then James. But none of them got any answers except for his name and where he'd come from. Then they started to ask him again but this time if he didn't answer he'll get a beating. After around an hour, I walked out and closed the door behind me. I wanted to smell some air and clear my thoughts.

Alexander and Matthew walked out and closed the door behind them. I could hear Luke is groaning in agony. "James is enjoying this for sure" I chuckled, "well he found a place... or a person to spill his anger issues on" Alexander joked. I sighed and Matthew stood in front of me, "you okay?" he asked concerned. "Yeah why wouldn't I?" I replied, "because of what happened an hour ago?" he asked, "oh no it's nothing. They just love to think that I hate them... but I don't actually I do love them and that's why I'm still here even when I should break this toxic relationship with them. It hurt you know? for them to actually believe that I hate them and want to get back to my old life. They hate me but I love them to death you see!" my smile slowly disappeared, "you should tell them that. No yelling, no arguments. Just sit them down and tell them. And whatever they say, you just have to deal with. If they ever considered you as their own or just an insurance policy to get your real father's money. Then after that you'll begin to move on, whether with them on your side or not" Matthew advised. "Thank you Matty" I gave him a smile and he stretched his arms for me to hug him and so I did. "Hey don't forget about me" Alexander protested stretching his arms and I laughed at him and hugged him, "whatever path you chose, I'm with you, we all are" he whispered in my ear.

I never had the reassurance thing. I always knew that no one will stick with me forever no matter what, except for my best friend Lewis, but he is long gone. Although, around Alexander, I'm starting to feel it again and also around the guys, James and Matthew. It is wonderful to feel this way for complete strangers.

I went to grab us lunch since we hadn't already. As I was packing our food, Dana walked in to make her kids lunch, they didn't eat with the rest. I was heating the last dish, James's dish, when I turned to her. "I want us to talk... no fights, no yelling, no cussing" I started, "talk... quickly I do not have time for you" she said turning to me.
