"All hail... Princess Visenya Targaryen." One of the Gold Cloaks broadcasted as another swung open the doors for me. Everyone in the Great Hall stood up, out of respect. I started walking down the steps from the door and toward our family's table just in front of the Iron Throne and people started clapping. I smiled and nodded out of respect but kept my head high.
When I reached our table, Daemon, stood up and took my hand up a couple of steps and guided me to my seat, which was in the middle of the table between him and the King. Next to Viserys was his wife, Queen Alicent, and all of her sons and daughter next to her and at the end of the table was her father, The Hand of the King, Otto Hightower. Next to Daemon, was Rhaenyra and her husband, Ser Laenor Velaryon, and their three sons next to him.
I didn't get a chance to say hello to Laenor because he just arrived with his father, Lord Corlys Velaryon, from a long trip just to pay their respect to my safe return.
I kissed the King as he stood for me on the cheeks and sat down. "Be welcome. As we join together in celebration. Celebrating my dear sister's return. What a joyous moments are these...Tonight is only its beginning. Our entire family is finally reunited. Reaching back to the days of Old Valyria, and the age of dragons. And with my daughter and her husband Ser Laenor Velaryon. Our family's oldest and fiercest allies. With house Targaryen and house Velaryon united... I hope to herald in a second age of dragons in Westeros" Viserys spoke loudly and everyone applauded. The Targaryens and Velaryons thumbed on the table we were seated in as in agreement with what the King just had stated. "At the end, my family is what is dear to me. And seeing my wife, Queen Alicent, my children and their children with them... with my siblings' side by side without bickering..." He remarked to me and Daemon and everyone chuckled, but then he continued, "These are the beautiful moments we live for. And with tonight's small affair..." he joked about how he exaggerated with tonight's feast, because it was just way too much, and everyone laughed again, "I hope you will all enjoy. Thank you for coming" The king finished his speech and everyone cheered and applauded.
The drumming began and the music started. Most were enjoying their meals, some were dancing, and others were chatting.
I leaned to the back of the chair in order to speak with the Queen who was next to the King who was next to me. "My queen?" I called for her and she leaned in to talk to me. "I hoped to talk to you in these past few days a bit much, but I couldn't get a hold of you and your maids said you were busy. I hope everything's alright?" I spoke. "Oh yes everything is alright now, thank you. Daeron was sick and he hated being alone, so he kept my hands busy those last days. I'm sorry, I really wanted to speak to you and know how you been" Alicent replied. "Oh, no worries. I hope he gets better. Aegon told me he was sick but not like this. I would've visited at least" I smiled politely and she nodded smiling as well.
Then I returned to my food and enjoyed it. The King knows how to throw a party. Then after the food, everyone got up to dance and in the middle of the sea of people, I could spot Lord Cregan Stark. He was already looking at me and he raised his Ale. I smiled and took my Ale and raised it back to him and he smiled nodding.
I then looked at my ale and with the music, I just drowned in my thoughts. I was thinking of how this would just all make sense if the boys were with me. James would be drowning in this tasty ale, Matthew would pass out from how all the food tastes, and Alexander would sing and force me to dance with him in the ocean of people dancing as well. I kept thinking about them for a while until someone brought me out of my trail of thoughts.
