I was getting to bed after all the drama after the King left his family without supervision. As I took down the million extra pillows and left only three, I heard a knock on the door. "Come in" I spoke, and the doors opened. It was Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, the Queen who never was, and my cousin. "If it weren't me, then someone else would see you in your nightgown, are you not ashamed?" she questioned as she closed the door behind her. "I don't see why I would be ashamed. It's merely a fabric, yeah?" I joked and she shook her head. "I thought you'd leave with Rhaenyra's house after all of what went down tonight," Rhaenys asked. "I wanted to but my brother's well-being comes first" I replied. "There is no saving him Visenya" Rhaenys hesitantly touched my hands. "I know... I don't need sympathy" I stated moving away. "Ahh... you plan to check if the Hightowers have a hand of his... unexplained illness?" She shook her head, smirking. "Yup," I raised my eyebrows smiling. "I'll be leaving on the morrow, I'll come to say goodbye before I leave and make sure you are not being considered a pain in the ass" she chuckled hugging me slightly. "Only a pain to the Greens' behinds" I teased, narrowing my eyes and holding the door for her. "You've got the devils in your eyes, kid" She stated, jokingly and I laughed.
After Princess's Rhaenys visit, I fell asleep really quickly.
I was awakened by the shifting sound by my door, so early that the sun didn't rise. I sat up and heard the door being locked. I couldn't believe it so I ran to the doors and checked... I was locked in my room by an order.
"What is the meaning of this?" I shouted and pounded the doors, but no reply I heard. I panicked in my room, alone. Sitting back in my bed and guessing what is behind this outrageous act against me. I was in Maegor's Holdfast and knew that there is no secret passageways I could use to get out. Maegor's Holdfast is the only part of the Red Keep that does not have any tunnels or secret passageways, Maegor the Cruel believed it was better than his enemies did not have a way to slay him while he slept and it was good thinking, but it did help me. The only way out of this room is through the door or the windows, but the windows were not an option unless I wanted to kill myself. Outside the windows was a dry moat lined with iron spikes to keep outsiders outside the royal apartments and chambers.
I sat in my room for hours and hours, waiting for something or someone. I never felt so useless. And then after what seemed like forever, the doors flung open... and there she was, the Queen and her puppy Ser Criston Cole.
I was standing by the window as they entered, and Cole closed the door behind them, staying close to the Queen and his hands tightly on his sword. Ser Criston glanced at my sword by my bed and went to get it and I did not move. I was trying my best not to lash on the Queen.
"You better have a good explanation for the reason for my treatment here this morning" I hissed in anger, but then I noticed a lot of things. Alicent still wears yesterday's dress, her face is tired, her eyes are watery, and she did not have to come here to me with her sword guard. She knows I would never hurt a mother... but then it hit me, Ser Criston wears the Lord Commander of the City Watch cape. I looked at her with widened eyes and an open mouth, realizing what has happened. "My sincerest regrets for the lack of ceremony" Alicent apologized and her voice is high-pitched and wobbly. "The King?" I breathed harshly, not wanting her to confirm my guess. But the Queen nodded defeatedly. I looked over to Ser Criston who did not care one bit about this news, but he still held onto his sword pretty tightly, preparing for something that might happen. And I knew there is something more, she did not have to come here with her guard unless she did something that she knows I will disapprove of or rage on her.
