The survivors were eating breakfast, enjoying small conversations, and acting like an average family. Kami walked in with the soldiers and her grandparents invited them to join them, James and Matthew did join but Alexander and Kami said they had already had breakfast. Kami grabbed a few things from the balcony and joined everyone downstairs.

"Don't forget that we'll leave soon to join that group and help with clearing blocks 1 and 4 today. All of us are going, me and the boys. That leaves you guys to prove that you can handle the responsibility if need be okay?" I reminded my cousins. "You will be pleased. Trust us" Abdullah Khalid stated. "I do trust you guys... well not you in particular but I do and I know you guys will do great. Just remember to follow the protocol we set" I said and they laughed when I said I don't trust him but nodded in understanding. "Always keep the electric fence well... electric. If we spot any threat, children, women, and then the elderly go to the room behind the house. Every gunner in their place stationed, never forget about the armored plates on EVERYONE. Keep enough clips and magazines around so you don't look stupid. If it is possible avoid any trouble instead of jumping right into it. And lastly, Alexander's favorite is that if you can set walkers on fire do it. So you don't have to waste bullets or be in close proximity with those things and a hell of a lot more but we memorized it" Abood stated bored. "They got the hang of it don't worry Kami. they were taught by the best" James said pointing at himself and to Matt and Alex. "what I did not teach them as well?" I crossed my arms looking at James pissed. "Actually?" Matthew was about to say something and I turned to look at him but he nudged Alex to talk, he shook his head chuckling. "you had a different approach to teaching them this stuff," Alex said, "yeah... smacking us" Hamood added, "every chance you get" Fawaz joined them. And everyone started laughing. "It is not my fault y'all a bunch of donkeys that don't get a thing from not the first or second or third... but for the millionth time I've said it" I argued and the boys nodded agreeing with me and we kept chuckling.

Alexander got a radio call from that leader, he told me before we joined the other that his name is Victor. He went outside to it. After that call, he came inside. "Look the leader of that group said that around 10 guys from his men will join in and help us clear the two block. Me, James, Matthew and Kami are already going to help out. Do any of you need anything from the supermarket? Or anything at all... consider this as one of our patrols" Alex spoke. "We could always use more plastic plates, forks and spoons. And tissues as well. But we already got a lot so if you didn't find it is okay" Aunt Layali asked and he nodded. "Come on, you need invitation boys?" Alexander call James and Matthew as I stood up and waited for them by the door.

We all packed the car but this time we grabbed machetes, axes, and arrows. Anything that could kill a walker without making a lot of noise, but we brought some firearms as well just in case.

As I went to change into my tactical uniform and so did the others and returned back. Me and James started running toward the car, knowing that both of us wants the same thing. "What do you think you're doing?" he grabbed the door handle with me. "I called shotgun," I said. "No you didn't" James tried to push my hand away and I smacked him in the neck. "Yes I did! Ask Matthew" I argued trying to pull the door and sit but he blocked my way. "Don't bring me into this" Matthew came and sighed looking up at us and just went and sat in the back while strapping his vest. "Look I'm sick of sitting in the back. You always either drive or call shotgun" James pleaded, "I don't care don't give me those innocent eyes! I'm either the driver or the passenger princess, if not any then I'm not going" I said. "Why are you not going?" Alexander came and stood by the driver's door and looked at us from the open windows as he fixed the radio pocket. "She didn't call shotgun" James blurted, "I DID! I did Alex I swear ask Matt. I hate sitting in the back I get car sick" I looked at Alex with my puppy eyes. He looked at me and then at James. "She's in front. Go to the back James" he used his serious smoky tone. "Fuck this I get car sickness too and I ACTUALLY throw up not FEEL like I'm about to throw up... Not fair! You're dating her now so you'll always pick her side. She knows it that's why she stalled the argument so you could come in and save her evil ass" James started complaining like a baby as he got to the back seat and I carried my bag and sat in the front.
