60: How Ironic

VESPER

They say nothing last forever. It's true, but some moments, even just for a second can actually feels like forever. Ilang segundo lang ang pagyakap ko sa kanya ngunit pakiram ko bumalik ako sa nakaraan, noong bata ako, at napunta sa hinaharap.

That even though it hurst, even though I cough up blood, even though my heart was pierce, I still feel at ease. With tears streaming down my face, I feel my shoulder loosen up, like all the burdens I'm carrying all alone vanish in an instant. How ironic, my heart was physically stabbed but it feels light. I feel light.

Mabilis na sinalo ni Abby ang katawan ko nang pabalang akong itulak palayo ni papa. Mamasa-masa ang mga mata nito habang tila hindi alam kung paano papatigilin ang pagdurugo ng sugat sa dibdib ko.

She tore the hem of her clothes and tried putting pressure on my wound to stop the bleeding. She then angrily turn towards my father and the Blue Moon members. Nakita ko pa sa gilid ng mga mata ko kung paano bumaba mula sa himpapawid ang dalawang tao.

"Wala ito sa usapan!" Galit na sigaw ni Abby sa dalawa. "Nangako kayong hindi niyo papatayin si Vesper kapag kumampi ako sa inyo!"

"Do you really think we'll keep our words to a person who can betray her master overnight just for some sick love?"

"That's pretty harsh, don't put salt on her wound or she might cry - oh, she's already crying. I guess it doesn't matter anymore." The girl giggle. "How pitiful, she betrayed the master she served all her life just to saved the man she loved, but in the end she lost both." She squatted in front of Abby, beside me, grab her chin to look closely at her crying face.

"And now, it looks like she'll be losing both of them, forever." Napasulyap pa ito sa gawi ko bago bitawan ng pabalang ang panga ni Abby. Tumayo siya, naglabas ng puting panyo at pinunasan ang kamay. Lumapit ito sa tabi ni papa, na hanggang ngayon ay hindi parin gumagalaw.

"Iklis come here," isang utos lang nito ay mabilis agad na lumapit si Kuya Iklis sa tabi niya, hatak-hatak sa paa ang walang malay at duguang si Aidan. Bugbog sarado ang mukha nito at halatang naging matindi ang labanan nila.

I suddenly felt guilty for voluntarily jumping towards my death when Aidan was fighting seriously. Hindi ko na inisip ang lagay niya, masyado akong nagpadala sa emosyon ko. I failed to protect my people.

"I didn't know it'll be this fun ordering around the greatest swordman family in the whole Kingdom like a dog. Iklis sit," agad naman sumunod sa utos nito si Kuya Iklis at umupo.

"Roll," he rolls like a donkey.

"Jump three times," he did, he jump thrice.

"Vallerian become my chair," agad namang sumunod si papa sa utos nito, yumuko ito at umupo naman ang babae sa likuran niya. Inutusan din niya si Kuya Iklis na lumuhod na parang aso sa harap niya upang maging patungan ng paa niya.

"That's what you call harsh, Guinevere." The guy commented while shaking his head.

"I told you, don't call me that in public!" She hissed.

"It looks like the Blue Moon failed their mission," napasulyap ito sa tatlong myembrong natira sa likuran niya, daalwa sa kanila ay namimilipit sa sakit dahil sa mga baling natamo, samantalang si Zero ay hindi matukoy kung buhay pa ba o patay na.
