Higuchi had always envied the couples who would wear each other's clothes or matching clothes. However, Gin never liked these kind of things. She thought it was too cheesy and much too cliché. She was more of a let's shower each other with surprises kind of girl. Not to mention the fact that she was quite uninterested in fashion and trends.
So Higuchi had to be content with blessing each other through the small and mundane gestures. She would buy Gin her favorite snacks or take her out on a surprise date, she would leave her sweet and hand written notes or make her lunch box that she could eat in the school.
One day, Higuchi felt an urge to do something special for Gin. She had saved some money for a rainy day and thought this would be the perfect occasion to use it. She decided that she would buy the two of them a set of matching watches.
Once purchased, Higuchi presented them to Gin feeling rather proud of herself. To her surprise, Gin lit up with excitement at the sight of them. She had never expected such a gift from her girlfriend and it touched her heart. "This... This is so beautiful Higuchi..." Gin said with tears in her eyes.
Higuchi smiled and hugged Gin. "I'm glad that you like your gift." She said softly, running her fingers through Gin's hair.
Gin smiled. "Thank you so much really, Higuchi. It is perfect." She then stepped back and looked down at her watch adorning her wrist. The imitation gems, like drops of dew, glittered in the light. "It's really beautiful."
