Edgar was so excited yet nervous at the same time. So nervous that he was biting his nails. Because he was finally ready to share the news with his lover. Ranpo was outside that day to visit a book store to get some books for his project. Telling him on the phone seemed easier than telling him face to face. He took a deep breath and nervously dialled Ranpo's number. He heard Ranpo answered on the other hand, clear as day. "Hey, love. What's up?"
"Um... Hi..." He stammered. "I wanted to tell you something, but I didn't know exactly how. I mean, I'm so nervous right now!"
Ranpo chuckled. "Well, you can just tell me. We will figure out how to handle it later. What's going on, love?"
Edgar took a deep breath to calm himself down. "I wanted you to be the first to know... We are going to have a baby!"
There was a pause on the other end before Ranpo exclaimed. "That's wonderful! Do you need anything? I can bring when I'm on my way to home!"
Edgar was relieved and emotional. "No, I don't need anything. Just having you by my side is more than enough. I love you."
"I love you too and I can't wait to meet our little bundle of joy!" Ranpo replied.
