40|| No Longer All Alone [Happy Birthday Jouno!]

Welcome to the last update of tonight lol! 

It is almost 01.00 a.m lol!

Happy birthday Jouno! 

Lol we will see Tecchou's weird food combinations in this chapter!

Jouno had always felt like his birthday was more of an excuse to feel badly about himself than to celebrate with friends and family. As soon as he turned 17, he began to dread the thought of having to mark his annual milestone. Jouno was overwhelmed by the feeling that he was running out of time, that he was not good enough and that he would never achieve anything good with his life.

Every year, he would buy a cake for himself, spend the day alone and spend the night in tears in his bedroom, feeling like he was no longer a child, but had not yet become a successful adult.

This year though, he had decided he would make things different. He was finally taking the plunge and asking his new lover, Tecchou, out to a birthday dinner. He had everything planned out to perfection. Tecchou was a bit of a foodie so he had booked a reservation at a popular and beautiful restaurant in downtown Tokyo. He had also made sure to do some research and find out Tecchou's favorite dishes so he could surprise him with the perfect meal.

Something in him told him that it was a bad idea, so Jouno had thought about it again and again, but the decision was already made. After all, what better way to celebrate his birthday than with someone he cared about deeply?

So he decided to gather up his courage and ask his lover out on a date to spend his birthday together. He was nervous and his heart was thumping in his chest, but he was determined to take the chance to spend a good birthday finally. He sent a text, not knowing what the response would be.

My Darling 🤍❤: Do you want to meet up tomorrow evening?

That night, he waited anxiously, to hear a reply and when it came and when he saw the message with just five simple words, it felt like his heart was going to burst with joy. He hadn't told Tecchou about his birthday on purpose. After all his birthday was not so special for him.

My Dear 💛🤎: Yes, I would love to!

The next day, on his birthday, Jouno posted something to his social media, nothing too revealing but enough for Tecchou to notice. To his delight, Tecchou slid into his direct messages, asking if he wanted to meet up, not wanting to wait for evening and Jouno happily accepted.

Their date was set end the two of them planned out a romantic day together. First, Tecchou took Jouno to the highest rooftop in town for lunch. They enjoyed a beautiful view the city while sipping the champagne even though it was a little early for alcohol. "Happy birthday, Jouno." Tecchou said with a smile and raising his glass.

"Thank you Tecchou." Jouno replied, before taking a sip of his champagne. He was alone with his lover and it was a perfect start to his birthday. They laughed, talked and enjoyed the view.

Then in the afternoon, they just walked around the town, hand in hand, exploring new places together.

They stopped for some ice cream on the way.

"So, lemon and strawberry ice cream are your favorites?" Tecchou asked.

"Yes." Jouno replied. He was even more surprised to see how Tecchou was eating matcha green tea ice cream with pistachios. Despite the fact that, they knew each other for a while, he had no idea about Tecchou's weird food combinations, but as the day continued, he would learn...

"Why are you looking at me like I am a ghost or an entity which is not supposed to be here?" Tecchou asked.

"I haven't seen someone ate matcha green tea ice cream with pistachios..." Jouno replied after a while. To him it was a weird combination since he didn't really like matcha green tea.

"I love combining foods which has the same color." Tecchou shrugged. "Besides, it is a perfect combination in terms of flavor, texture and sweetness. You should try it out sometime."

At first, Jouno thought Tecchou was joking, but when he looked at Tecchou's face, he saw Tecchou was dead serious. "This is... An interesting eating habit..." Jouno said eventually. After all, he loved Tecchou and his eating habits shouldn't have been mattered.

Later they decided to go to a movie. At the movie theater, they bought tickets and snacks. Another weird food combination, at least to Jouno, Tecchou was eating the popcorn with three flavors at the same time! Peanut, caramel and chocolate! He was eating it all together and didn't seem to mind the strange taste at all!

Jouno thought it was disgusting, but at the same time, it made him laugh. He had to admire Tecchou's bravery about his weird habit.

After the movie, they got milkshakes and tried each other's milkshake to see what flavor it was.

"Chocolate, right?" Tecchou said after trying Jouno's shake. "It is really simple."

Jouno tried out Tecchou's milkshake, but he didn't understand the flavor at all. "What is it?" He eventually asked after a few wrong guesses.

"This is Shamrock milkshake." Tecchou said.

They tried a few more shakes and kept playing this game. To Jouno, it was hilarious trying to guess the flavors with none of them being able to accurately guess the other's drink!

Eventually, they ended the day at the restaurant which Jouno had booked a reservation last evening for dinner. At the restaurant, Jouno had made special arrangements for a romantic evening for the two of them. There were rose petals spread on the table, with a candle in the middle and a special dessert was waiting for them. As they shared their meal, he could not help but think about how lucky he was to have found such a kind and thoughtful lover in his life. The best thing about the evening was the fact that Tecchou didn't make his weird food combinations!

It was his birthday, but he had made the evening special for Tecchou, but after all having your birthday with your lover was the best way to spend your birthday.

As they were laying on the grass on a blanket under the stars, Tecchou handed a gift box to Jouno. "Happy birthday again, Jouno."

Jouno opened the box curiously and inside it was a necklace with a silver dove charm attached to it. He was speechless for a few moments before he eventually spoke. "Tecchou, it's beautiful!"

"It is a reminder that the world can always be a place of peace." He gently put it around Jouno's neck. "Every time you look at it, I want you to remember how much I love you."

Jouno smiled and kissed Tecchou. "Thank you. I really love it."

Jouno's birthday ended with a passionate kiss under the stars and it was a night to remember forever with the many years to come.
