"Atsushi, you are like a snuggly kitten." Akutagawa said as Atsushi hugged him like an octupus. Literally.
Atsushi chuckled softly, his arms wrapped tightly around Akutagawa's waist. "Well you are a grumpy cat with sharp claws," he teased, nuzzling his face against Akutagawa's shoulder.
Akutagawa huffed in response, but there was a hint of amusement in his eyes. "I suppose that makes us quite the pair then," he replied, his voice laced with a mix of annoyance and affection.
As they stood there, locked in their embrace, Atsushi couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and contentment. It was moments like these that reminded of him of the bond they shared.
"You know," Atsushi began teasingly, "kittens are always snuggly to their masters and always want their attention."
Akutagawa raised an eyebrow, amused by Atsushi's teasing. "But you forget, Atsushi," Akutagawa replied with a smirk, "I am no ordinary master. I am more like a lone wolf, untamed and unyielding."
Atsushi chuckled at Akutagawa's response, knowing all to well the truth behind his words. Akutagawa was indeed a force to be reckoned with, possessing an intense aura that commanded respect and fear. He was not one to easily to succumb to affection or seek attention from others.
"Ah, but even lone wolves have their moments of vulnerability," Atsushi countered playfully. "Deep down, they too crave companionship and warmth."
Akutagawa's smirk faded slightly as he considered Atsushi's words. He had always prided himself on his independence and self-reliance, believing that solitude was his only solace until he met Atsushi. Until he started dating with Atsushi, he hadn't realize that he was craving for something more. Companionship.
In the moments they spent together, Akutagawa felt a warmth he hadn't experienced before. He had always been a loner, finding solace in the darkness and isolation that surrounded him. But Atsushi had managed to break through his walls, showing him a different side of life. At first Akutagawa really wanted to resist, unsure of how to handle this newfound connection.
But as he spent more time with Atsushi, he began to understand the beauty of companionship. The way their conversations flowed effortlessly, the laughter they shared, and the simple comfort of having someone by his side. It was a feeling he never thought he would crave or even desire.
In those moments together, Akutagawa felt a warmth melted away the coldness within him. It was as if Atsushi's presence brought light into his world, illuminating the shadows that had consumed him for so long. He realized that solitude wasn't his only solace; it was merely a temporary escape from the pain and emptiness he carried.
Atsushi lifted his head and looked at his lover. "What are you thinking?"
Akutagawa's gaze softened as he met Atsushi's eyes, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He took a moment to gather his thoughts, feeling a surge of gratitude for the young boy standing before him.
