"Chuuya, a family wants to be your foster parents." The orphanage manageress said smiling.

Chuuya stared at her in silence, not believing his ears. All those years of being alone in the orphanage and no one had been willing to adopt him and now, out of the blue, there was an interested family. He blinked several times just to be sure that he was not dreaming, but the manageress was still standing there with the same smile on her face.

"W-What are you serious?" He stuttered out in shock, not daring to hope that it might actually be true.

"Yes, they have been here several times to visit you and they would like to formally offer you a home in their family." She said with a gentle voice.

Chuuya could only stare in disbelief. After all this time someone actually wanted him. He felt an unfamiliar sensation was building in his chest and he was pretty sure that it was hope. "I... I don't know what to say." He felt dazed by the sudden turn of events in his life.

"Just tell me if you want to go and I will arrange all the paperwork." The manageress said kindly. "I promise you, the family is good people. You can trust them and you will be safe with them."

Chuuya still was not sure what to say, but he found himself slowly nodding his head. It was an opportunity he was not sure he would ever get again. A chance to belong somewhere and be a part of something... He didn't know what the future held, but the thought of finally having a home was too tempting to ignore. "Yes." He murmured, nodding his head. "I... I want to try."

If Chuuya knew how the manageress was wrong, he wouldn't accept to be adopted in the first place.

Chuuya had never known his biological parents. Whenever he asked about his family, he was usually shrugged it off. It hadn't been easy life and he was deeply unhappy at first, but then he noticed there was no meaning of being sad for people who didn't want him and leave him like a trash in the first place. So, it had become a subject which he never overtly discussed, because it was sort of painful to talk about.

However, Chuuya couldn't help but felt something was missing from his life from time to time. He had a need to know more about his heritage, who his biological parents were and why he had been separated from them.

Just only one day, out of curiousity, Chuuya began to search for his biological roots. He had some initial success in tracking down the name of his biological mother, but there was no further information.

He had grown up in an orphanage, surrounded by other children who were all alone and were suffering in various ways. He had been given the nickname 'Chibi' by some of the other kids, because he was so small and short even when compared to his peers.
