"Mykhaila, did you gain some weight?" Kento, her boyfriend, asked with a disdaining look on her face.
Mykhaila looked down at her body, her insecurities already bubbling to the surface. She had struggled with her weight and Kento knew that. Yet, he couldn't help but continuously make snide comments about her appearance.
She forced a smile and replied, "No, I haven't. Thanks for asking." But inside, she felt like crying. She couldn't understand why Kento felt the need to constantly belittle her like this. Was he trying to make her feel insecure? Or did he just enjoy putting her down?
As they walked down the street, Kento kept making comments about Mykhaila's appearance. "Do you really think that dress looks good on you?" He asked, making her feel self-conscious about her outfit choice. She had picked out the dress specifically for their date night, but now she regretted it.

Once they reached the restaurant, Kento continued his behavior. He derogatory comments about the food Mykhaila ordered, saying it was unhealthy and she could watch she eats. Mykhaila couldn't believe this was the same man she had fallen in love with. She thought he loved her for who she was, but now she was starting to doubt everything.
