It was that time of the year again. The Bid on a Basket fundraiser. It was on Sunday and me and Rory had a thing going.

We'd make our basket together, just for a laugh. Whoever bid on our basket, we'd do rock, paper, scissors to see who'd be stuck with the bidder.

Tessa bid on our basket last year, only to save us from Kirk. We were very grateful for Tessa.

"What about this one?" Rory asked me. "Too big," I told her. I picked out a blue basket with a red ribbon. "Cute!" Rory smiled.

"I know how this is gonna go, Dean is gonna bid and you two are gonna make out," I said in high pitched tone. "Wouldn't you rather drool over Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge?" Rory asked me. "We all know that's the only reason you watch it."

"Can you blame me? He's gorgeous, especially singing El Tango de Roxanne," I said. "His heart cries for me."

"Not that one," Dean said to Rory. "Excuse me, mister, you have no say and you have to eat what's in it," Rory told him. "And Hezzy's cooking, be careful, she may poison you."

"I'm not going to poison him," I rolled my eyes. "So, you guys both make the basket?" Dean frowned. "It's a twin thing, relax, as soon as you bid, I'm off to make kissy faces to my TV," I reassured him.

Dean looked to Rory for help. "Moulin Rouge," she told him.

"Didn't think Moulin Rouge was your thing," Jess made his presence known which irked Dean. "What do you want?" he hissed. Rory gave me a scared look. "You're in the way of the super glue," he smirked.

Dean handed him the glue and he walked past Dean to get to me. "He hates me," Jess told me. "Didn't notice," I muttered sarcastically. "Glaring at me out of the corner of his eye," Jess rolled his eyes. "It doesn't matter, you're my friend, he'll have to suck it up," I told him. "If it makes you feel better, my grandfather likes you better than him."

"Does he now?" Jess laughed. "You will not repeat that to him though, that is confidential," I told him, chuckling. "Cross my heart," Jess reassured me.

I came downstairs on Sunday morning to find Rory putting on Pop Tarts. "You want one?" she asked me. "Yeah, put one on for me, I'll be back in a sec," I told her.

I went outside to check the mail and I found a letter addressed to me. And the sender's address was.....FROM CALIFORNIA.

"RORY!" I screamed. "RORY!"

Rory came dashing outside. "It's here!" I yelled. "Open it!" Rory cheered.

I shoved the envelope into her arms. "Nuh uh."

"You scared?"

"No......yes," I sighed.

"Want me to open it?" Rory asked me. I nodded and she opened the envelope and pulled out the letter. "What does it say? Did we get in?"

Rory had a sad look on her face. "I didn't? Oh, come on! I worked my ass off!" I ranted.

"How am I gonna survive a summer without my evil twin?" Rory's pout turned into a smile. "I got in....I GOT IN?!"

Rory nodded and we both started screaming with delight, jumping up and down.

Mom joined in with the jumping up and down and stopped. "Why are we jumping up and down?!"

"I'M GOING TO CALI!"

Mom and Rory both showered me with hugs. "Oh, honey, that's amazing!"

"We gotta find Tessa!" I panicked, running off.
