"Wake me up when it gets interesting," Tessa rested her head on my shoulder and pretended to snore loudly. Taylor, the town control freak, has been going on and on about the same topic for the last twenty minutes. About parking in front of the market.

"Did I miss much?" Mom asked us as she slipped in next to us. "Taylor bitching about parking," I told her as she handed me food. "He just wants to park in front of his store, no Rory?"

"She's doing math homework," Mom explained to me. "I have been mayor of this fine town for a long time," Harry exclaimed. "I think of you all as my children but sometimes children need discipline. We have leash laws!"

"Daddy's getting angry," Mom whispered in my ear. "Tess, wake up," I shrugged my shoulder and pointed over at Luke. "Ooh, the good bit," Tessa cheered once Harry started about the battle of Stars Hollow.

"He's turning red," I giggled. "Shifting in his seat," Mom added. "And adjusts the cap," Tessa was trying to contain her laughter.

"Fighting the urge," Mom was trying her best not to laugh. "OH FOR GOD'S SAKE! Do we have to go through this every damn year!" Luke complained. "Score!" Tessa whispered happily. "I thought we were here to discuss town issues."

"This is a town issue," Taylor insisted. "Who's talking?" Harry wondered. "It's me, Luke, you've known me since I was five," Luke spoke up.

Luke losing it at town meetings and at Taylor in general was too funny. Honestly that was the only reason I went to town meetings.

"They all waited for the Red Coats, who didn't show! It might as well have been the prom!" Luke exclaimed. "I've had enough!" Taylor shouted.

"Sit down, Taylor!"

"Menace!"

"Suck up!"

"Five bucks someone's in a headlock?" Mom whispered to me. "You're so on," I chuckled.

I opened my eyes, some time in the middle of the night as a sudden chill washed over my body. "Why is it so cold?" I started shivering and I got out of bed.

I walked down the stairs to see Mom and Rory in the living room. "Why is it so damn cold?" I wondered. "Crazy here won't close the window," Rory pointed at Mom. "It's that time of year, Hezzy," Mom argued. I walked over to the window and I took a deep breath. "Snow," I smiled in content. "How can you smell it?" Rory asked me. "I have the gene," I smirked, sitting down on the couch.

"Everything is magical," Mom was smiling. "Everything is pretty, clothes, scarves, gloves, hats..."

"Thermal underwear," Rory added. "Wool socks, ear flaps."

"The best things happened when it snowed, you and Heather existing..."

"Our best birthday," I added. "Feet," Rory threw the blanket over us. "I don't want frostbite, when's the storm hitting?"

I took a whiff and I looked at my sister. "Tomorrow."

"So the three of us, coffee, donuts, snowstorm, midnight?"

I smiled happily, leaning back into the couch. "She keeps listening to Mr Medina's voicemails," Rory told me. "Okay, I'm going upstairs!" I leapt up but Mom dragged me back down and hugged me. "Love you."

"Love you too," I smiled, hugging my mother and sister before going back to bed.

"WHY ARE YOU WAITING UNTIL NOW TO TELL ME?!" Tessa freaked out. "Dave being fucking Romeo?!"

"Oh, shut up," I rolled my eyes. "It was kind of a goodbye date, stop turning this into something it ain't, I'm going to be late for school."
