*Strax / Y/n pov*

Soaring high above the ocean, I watched from above as the other dragons and their respective riders along with James and Raion approached an island said to have a rather elusive dragon hunter who was supposedly going to transfer his cargo tonight. I of course had offered to simply eviscerate his ship as he made the swap but the others felt that a, and I quote, "giant, shiny, death machine of a dragon wouldn't be good at sneaking around". So, for the moment at least, I was doing some recon high above everything while the others moved in. gazing down, i watched as they all split off into different groups, Hiccup, Toothless, Snotlout, and Hookfang in one, Astrid, Stormfly, the twins and Barf and Belch in another, and lastly Heather, Fishlegs, Meatlug, Windshear, James and raion as the final group. Steve and Ama were back at the edge defending it from whatever or whoever may attack. Half-heartedly gazing down to the island, I watched as the Twins and Barf and Belch charged in, landing just short of a small cart with a cloth over it.

Y/n / Strax : "hmm, curious..."

Promptly pulling the cloth off of the cart, the twins found a large dragon egg, with a mottled stone grey and dark blue pattern that wrapped around the entirety of the egg. However, after revealing it they were promptly shot at by the hunters who had seen them land as a hunter grabbed the cart and started hauling it away, in response Barf and belch shot a small explosion that licked at the wheels of the cart, narrowly avoiding destruction before Stormfly and Astrid stopped them.

Y/n / Strax : "and the stealth has left the building so to speak. May as well join in at this point."

Diving down, I spotted the hunter with the egg cart load the egg onto a small boat and start sailing towards a larger ship while Stormfly tried to stop it but narrowly dodged as a volley of arrows soared past them making Stormfly shoot off a distress flare. Leveling out close to the water's surface, I accelerated, cloaking myself in a veil of white hot dragon element as i smashed into the larger ships side, punching through it to the other side before twisting into barrel roll to get above the ship and firing a volley of dragon bolts into the deck that ripped through it like paper. Hovering there for a moment, I watched as what few hunters were left scrambled to try to save themselves from their rapidly sinking ship with a sadistic grin on my face, relishing in the destruction i had caused before glancing over at the one hunter in the little dingy who was as pale as a ghost after watching the slaughter. After a few moments the others all flew over to the hunter in a dingy and quickly got the egg as well as captured the hunter to which I flew over to them, getting a glare from Windshear, Heather and Raion which I paid no mind to.

Hiccup : "well that was... productive... hey, i got an idea, how about we get this to the edge. Safely."

*timeskip*

After the flight back to the edge, everyone met up in the hangar to try to find out what dragon this egg came from as I poked my head into the room to watch.

Hiccup : "Well it's definitely not a changewing egg."

Fishlegs : "thank thor."

Hiccup : "and it's not the type of any of our dragons."

Raion : "not a monster egg from what i can tell either. Too small and not colorful enough."

Hiccup : "I don't think it's in here Fishlegs."
