*toothless pov*

We were walking back through the forest with the tent Y/n had turned into a sudo bag along with all its components behind Stormfly as she led us to where the riders went when she suddenly stopped in front of a thick purple mist.

Toothless : "Stormfly? What is it?"

Stormfly : "im picking up a weird scent... it smells toxic and acidic. Whatever this fog is, is blocking our riders scent."

Meatlug : "what do you think caused it?"

Stormfly : "I don't know... but I can't track them anymore."

Hookfang : "dammit..."

Stormfly's head turned to the side slightly as she sniffed the air and a smile crept onto her face.

Stormfly : "but I know that scent anywhere. My flame, Over here!"

As we looked over to where Stormfly was looking, I saw the trees shake and bend as Y/n pushed past a pretty thick section of forest, they were carrying Ryker's sword and shield and I could see just a touch of dried blood that clung loosely to their talons.

Y/n / Strax : "ah, there you all are! I was beginning to wonder where you all went off too."

Toothless : "we got a problem Y/n! The riders are being hunted by a deviljho, we need to find them as soon as possible."

For a moment, Y/n just froze, standing stiff as a plank of wood with an expression of "what the hell???" strewn on their face before they shook their head, seemingly snapping themselves out of it.

Y/n / Strax : "FATALIS DAMMIT!!! We need to find them! Love you wouldn't happen to be able to track them, would you?"

Stormfly : "sorry, their scent's been covered up."

Y/n / Strax : "wonderful...... wait... love, how would you all like to learn to track bio energy?"

Stormfly : "I mean... sure, but is now the best time?"

Y/n / Strax : "it may well be the perfect time. If more of us can sense bio energy then we'll be able to find the deviljho and then the riders. I just hope they can hold on for a bit longer."

Hookfang : "Wait, you can already do that, why can't you just lead us there."

Y/n / Strax : "because a deviljho's bio energy signature is... odd. I can only get a general area of where it is so the more of us who can find it, the more we can rule out where it isn't. Toothless you should learn this as well, though as for the rest of you... im unsure if you can learn it yet since your bio energy is still rather low..."

Windshear : "we can get to that later then, just do it, we're running out of time."

Y/n / Strax : "right. So, love, Toothless, this is going to sound a tad odd but i want you to close your eyes and find a sort of... energy within you. I'll guide you from there."

Hookfang : "wow, really descriptive, find bio-energy by looking for something that feels like energy."

Y/n shot a glare at Hookfang as he said that but seemed otherwise unperturbed so i just closed my eyes, stormfly presumably doing the same. As I stood there, I tried to focus on finding what Y/n had described.
