It was a relatively peaceful day on the edge... well as peaceful as it ever is around here. I was laying down in the arena, watching as Hiccup, the other riders, dragons and monsters were setting up some metal training dummies to test home much stronger Toothless had become after his and Hiccup's capture around a week ago. The only ones who weren't here were Windshear, Meatlug, Steve, the hunter who was nursing himself back to health, and most strangely Fishlegs.

Y/n / Strax : "would have figured he would have wanted to see this more than anyone else."

Stormfly : "What was that my flame?"

Y/n / Strax : "ah, n-nothing love."

Walking into my view, Stormfly walked over next to me and laid down next to me as I blushed lightly at the new pet name while extending my wing to cover here. She's been calling me that since we got back from rescuing Hiccup and Toothless and every time she calls me that it never fails to make me blush a bit, something she takes great pride in. proved by Stormfly looking at me with a loving, but albeit slightly smug look on her face as I tried to watch the others prepare.

Y/n / Strax : "I'm not looking at you love."

Stormfly : "you're going too~"

Y/n / Strax : "nope~"

Nuzzling up against my neck softly, Stormfly looked up at me in a cocktail of love, teasing, and smugness making me blush a tad harder as I felt her breath on my neck.

Stormfly : "you like looking at me~"

Y/n / Strax : "I'm not going to..."

Stormfly : "because if you do~ you'll crack, like an egg~"

Glancing down to Stormfly my eyes locked with hers making a smile slink onto my face and any form of composure I once had crumble to dust.

Y/n / Strax : "... YeS..."

??? : "*ahem*"

Looking to the source of the sound, I spotted Ama who now had some bandages wrapped around her midsection over her golden silk looking over at us smugly as she gestured over to Toothless with her head.

Ama / Webs : "You two gonna flirt all day or watch the show?"

As soon as Ama said that, both Stormfly and i's faces erupted into a furious blush making the other dragons and monsters chuckle before, after a moment, we all refocused on Toothless who was already charging a plasma blast. After a few moments he fired the bolt of burning plasma into the dummy creating an explosion on impact along with a loud bang while the dummy slammed into the arena wall, now with a large hole in the middle.

Hiccup : "good job bud!"

Twins and barf and belch : "THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!"

Hookfang : "aww, when's my upgrade?"

Ama / Webs : "as soon as you all take in enough bio energy theoretically. Then you'll undergo an... explosive development like what Stormfly had and what I can only assume Toothless had as well."

As I absentmindedly listened to the riders and dragons babble between themselves, I noticed Fishlegs and Heather walking near the arena side by side with hands intertwined while Meatlug and Windshear happily trotted behind them holding.
