Chapter forty-five: Chasing hearts

Seraphina's POV

"I heard what happened earlier, and I'm here because I'm worried"

I just look at Parker, he's unbelievable.

"Stop being worried and stop hanging from that tree"

Since boys are not allowed in the girls dorm, he found a way to talk to me personally and that's by climbing a tree next to my window.

I watch how he skillfully jump with that wide distance as if it's a thing that a normal person can do.

"Who are you, Spiderman?"

"My last name is Parker but my first name is surely not Peter"

"Funny"

He just laugh it off

"I heard you didn't attend class, so I  drop in to check if you're alright"

"What do you mean you heard?"

Nakita ko naman na napakamot siya sa batok niya, mukhang hindi rin siya pumasok kanina. That explains his look, there's even a dry blood on his clothes. I wonder what people thinks about him when he's on his way here.

"I need to handle some... water serpents"

He just sheepishly smiled but as soon as he saw the empty lunch boxes beside my bed it fades.

"Who gave you this food? I thought you don't like eating bento boxes"

"It's from Nico, he gave it to me earlier because he said he don't want his patient to starve"

Tsk, I forgot I have some missions to prioritize to. When I'm with Nicolaus I suddenly forgot about those kind of things, nakakalimutan kong may mga kalaban pa nga pala kaming dapat harapin.

I can't believe that I've listened to his advice, he said I need to rest for the whole day and I just really slept for the whole freaking day.

"How did he knew that you like seafoods?"

Tanong ni Parker habang tinitignan yung mga tira kong pagkain.

"It doesn't matter, what do you want?"

"It's about the Kephale's"

Yeah right, we still need to handle those damn hydras. It's weird that I'm more worried about my unfinished assignment rather than my missions

"I don't actually know the exact details, but you can ask Thomzel"

Mabilis naman akong napalingon sa kaniya at napansin kong hindi niya ako matignan ng deretso sa mata.

Tsk, I know what he's planning. And it's working, I still need to face that brother of mine.

"Okay"

I immediately stood up and fetch my keys, hindi naman nakaligtas sa paningin ko ang palihim niyang pag-ngiti.

It looks like I'm doing what he thought I'm gonna do, and I hate it.

"I'm just gonna lay down here"

I left the room with him laying on my bed, it looks like he's really tired because he doesn't insist on going with me.

It's already dusk that's why it's starting to get dark, I need to go home before night comes.

I head straight to the parking lot and immediately ride my motorcycle, mabilis ko itong pinaandar at dinama ang pagtama ng hangin sa balat ko.
