We are currently in a spacious area, a bit far from the houses. Nandito kaming lahat because It's our free time daw dahil huling gabi na namin dito.
Yeah right. As if we can still go out at this hour.
A few of my male classmates took the initiative to set up a bonfire, and Miss Agape allowed us to drink. Some are already tipsy, while others are still sober. Kaming lima naman na naka-assign sa cooking ay kakaumpisa pa lang.
I strained my eyes, scanning the surroundings in search of Miss Agape, but she was nowhere to be found.
Nasaan kaya 'yon?
"Tara, maglaro tayo!" sabi ni Alice.
"Ayoko," mabilis kong sagot.
"Ang kj mo talaga!" sabat ni Milie. "Halika na, tayo-tayo lang naman."
"Suzette at Dino? Ano g kayo?" tanong ni Alice sa kanila.
Nagkatinginan sina Suzette at Dino, marahil iniisip kung sasama sila. Maya-maya lang, tumango si Dino. Alice and Milie clapped their hands in delight.
"Oh, sasama sila kaya wala ka nang choice," sabi ni Milie sa akin.
"Oo na," napilitang sagot ko.
Kahit truth or dare pa 'yan, I can always lie. They won't know anyway. I'm good at that.
"Okay, let's play ng pambansang laro sa ganitong setup!" sigaw ni Alice. Tumingin siya kay Milie at sinenyasan.
"Ang truth or dare!" sabay nilang sigaw.
I knew it. It's always this game. It's getting boring.
Alice cleared her throat. "Okay, here we go." She reached down and spun the bottle that lay on the floor.
Tamad na pinapanood ko lang ang pag-ikot ng bote hanggang sa bumagal ito at huminto kay Suzette. Ang tatlo ay tuwang-tuwa habang si Suzette ay nahihiyang yumuko.
"Truth or dare?" Milie asked Suzette.
Suzette hesitated for a moment before responding, "I think I'll go with truth."
"I'll ask!" Alice exclaimed. "Do you have any feelings for anyone in our group?"
Mukhang kinabahan si Suzette sa tanong ni Alice dahil lumikot ang kanyang mga mata at hindi makatingin sa amin nang diretso. Dahil dito, nagsimulang mang-asar ang dalawa.
"Si Suzette dalaga pala." Asar ni Alice. "Spill it!"
Noticing Suzette's unease, I gave her a reassuring nod when our eyes met. Alam ko kinakabahan siya at nahihiya, so I offered her a gentle smile. She quickly averted her gaze and posed a question of her own.
"What's the consequence if I choose not to answer?" Nahihiya niyang tanong.
