Ness POV
*well today is a day I have been waiting for for a whole year and a half !! It's the day where I can get back to work and Noah gets to go to daycare ! So I got out of bed at 6:30 am to get a nice shower and then I got dressed for work*

*I put this outfit on and I curled my hair and put it in a low ponytail and did some light makeup before heading out of the bathroom to my bedroom where my husband was sitting on the bed putting his socks on*
Jay:morning beautiful! *smiles*
Ness:morning handsome ! *smiles back*
Jay:I missed seeing you in your work clothes
Ness:I know ! It's been a while *smiles*
Jay:I'm going to go get started on making some pancakes for Noah
Ness:ok ! And I'm going to go wake him up since it is *looks at the clock* 7:15
Jay:ok !
*I headed into Noah's room and jay went downstairs and I saw my baby boy sound asleep with his blanket and teddy bear in his hand*
Ness:Noah baby ! It's time to wake up *I say while rubbing his back*
Noah:*wakes up and rubs him eyes*
Ness:morning baby boy !
Noah:morning mommy
Ness:guess what's happening today?
Noah:what mommy ?
Ness:your going to daycare !
Noah:yay ! *sits up in his bed*
Ness:daddy is downstairs making breakfast so how about we get dressed ?
Noah:ok mommy !!
*Noah got out of bed and I quickly made his bed and then we picked out a outfit and he look so cute ! So I sat him down on the bench in the hall way and took a photo for instagram*

*I posted and responded to some comments on instagram of the photo of Noah and then we headed downstairs to eat some delicious blueberry pancakes that jay made*
Jay:hey buddy !!
Noah:daddy !! *runs to him*
Jay:someone's excited this morning !
Noah:I get to go to daycare!!
Jay:how exciting!!
Noah:mommy said I'm going to make lots of friends
Jay:you sure will !
*we ate our breakfast and then we got our shoes on and got in jays truck and we dropped Noah off at daycare and then headed to the district ! As soon as we got there we parked the car and headed inside*

Ness:hey Trudy !*smiles*
Trudy:I'm so glad that you back !!
Ness:me to ! I've missed this place so much
Trudy:is Noah off to daycare this morning ?
Ness:yeah ! His first day and he took it like a champ
Trudy:bless his heart !

*I headed upstairs since jay went on up without me and I saw everyone sat at there desk*
Adam:welcome back ness ! *smiles*
Ness:thanks Adam !
Erin:Omg !! Your back !
Ness:I sure am ! *smiles*
Erin:I missed you so much it really hasn't been the same

Ness:aww thanks guys ! I missed you all as well
*I sat down at my desk and then we got a case*
Hank:4 females have been found dead on the side of the street in canary ville suit up and go check it out !
*we all headed downstairs and got ready and got in our vehicles and drove to the location*
Jay:so are you glad to be back ?
Ness:so happy ! I mean I love Noah but I missed doing what I love
Jay:yeah ! I'm sure he is having a time at daycare
Ness:oh 100% ! *smiles*
*we made it to the scene and me and jay took the 1st female we seen that was on the sidewalk almost on the road*
Jay:can we see her please ?

*we looked at the girls and found a pack of drugs in her pocket with a weird logo on it so we took it over to sarge*
Hank:find anything ?
Ness:nothing besides this pack of drugs in her pocket
Jay:the logo isn't familiar but seems like something dangerous
Hank:take some pitchers and then bring it to the lab to see exactly what it is
Ness:on it sarge
*jay took some pictures of the package and we got back in the truck and drove over to the crime lab and when we got there we headed inside *

Ness:yeah I'm detective Vanessa Halstead and this is my partner Detective Jay Halstead we are with Hank voights intelligence and we need you to do some tests on this pack of drugs

*we headed to the back of the crime lab and found Lindsay mills who is our go to crime lab technician*
Ness:Lindsay!
Lindsay:hey guys ! How can I help you ?
Jay:we need you to run some test on this pack of drugs
Lindsay:we are kinda backed up today but I'll make sure to put this in the front of the line for you !

*we headed back to our truck and drove back to the district and continued working on the case*
A few hours later
*well it's officially 5:30 pm which means it's time to go pick up Noah from daycare and that our day was over ! I packed up my things and met jay out in the truck and we drove straight to the daycare and as soon as I picked him up he would not stop talking about how much fun he had and as soon as we got home we had some tacos for supper and just relaxed as a family for a bit !*
