Vanessa's POV *my shoulder is absolutely killing me but soon enough the paramedics show up and it's Dawson and Brett* Brett:Vanessa ?? What happened ?? Jay:that prick shot her in the shoulder Gabby:k let's get her in the ambulance! Jay you wanna ride with us ? Jay:yeah yeah I would ! *we got in the ambulance and we make it to med and they bring me and jay holds my hand* Maggie:Dr Manning !! April treatment 5 Natalie:talk to me ! Gabby:Vanessa miller ! Shot in the shoulder ! Pulse is fine Natalie:k thanks ! *I get up onto the bed and Natalie looks at me in concern* Natalie:I'm kinda confused Ness, your a detective and never get shot or injured on duty and the one time you dress up to go to a event you get shot ! Ness:just my luck I guess ! *smiles* Natalie:right we are going to get you up the surgery so we can remove the bullet because everything else seems fine right now Ness:ok *natalie wheels me up to surgery and soon enough I'm put to sleep* Jays POV *they wheeled Vanessa up to surgery so I had to go to the waiting room upstairs and the team + Kelly met me up up there* Kelly:hey I got here as soon as I could ! Jay:hey ! Kelly:she ok ? How did she get shot ? Jay:I don't even know how she never died to be honest Kelly:man ! *sighs* how long has she been in surgery for ? Jay:maybe like 20 mins Kelly:Omg does Brittany know ? Jay:I never called her Kelly:k I'll let her know *Kelly leaves and the rest of the team come through the doors* Hank:how is she ? Jay:she's been in surgery for like 20 mins now Hank:k any updates ? Jay:not yet Kim:well the prick who did this is probably in hell right now Jay:he better be *we stayed in the waiting room until Kelly came back in* Jay:any luck ? Kelly:yeah she's not in town tho but she said to keep her updated Jay:k *we waited and waited until a doctor came out* Jay:how is she Dr:she's stable ! We are putting her in the recovery wing right now Hank:can we go see her Dr:yeah she's room 108 Jay:thank you so much ! *we all go into her hall but I go in first and she was awake* Jay:your awake Ness:yup ! *looks down* Jay:what's wrong ? Ness:I don't know! I let some prick shoot me over what my father did years ago Jay:listen he's dead so he won't shoot you anymore ! Ness:yeah but what if others do ! Jay:what are you talking about ? Ness:my father ruined so many peoples lives while doing his job , so what is the other find out about me and they try to kill me to Jay:ness ! There not going to kill you ! And if they try we will kill them first Ness:what if I'm alone like at home Jay:you don't have to live alone if you don't want to Ness:where would I go jay ? Jay:you could come live with me Ness:jay I can't do that Jay:yes you can ! Ness:but like I'll just be in your way Jay:ness I'm serious ! If you don't want to live alone then come live with me ! I really wouldn't mind! I'm pretty much with you every day of my life anyways Ness:I guess ! Jay:the team and Kelly is here can I send them in ? Ness:yeah ! *jay goes out to the hallway and they all come piling in my room* Hank:how are you feeling ? Ness:I feel like I just got run over by a truck Hank:when are you cleared for duty ? Ness:I didn't ask Hank:k well take your time coming back ! Your safety is more important than work Ness:thanks sarge ! Kelly:hey ! Ness:hi Kelly ! *smiles* Kelly:how's the arm ? Ness:stiff ! Kelly:kinda figured Ness:yeah Kelly:I was talking to your sister on the phone Ness:did you tell her? Kelly:yeah she said to keep her updated Ness:well thanks for letting her know Kelly:your welcome ! *Kelly and the team left cause they got a case and Kelly had shift so it was just me and jay* Ness:i Gotta tell you something Jay:what's up ? Ness:I don't want this to ruin our friendship Jay:nothing can ruin that ! Ness:jay I have feeling for you ! Jay:me to Ness ! *smiles* Ness:wait what ? Jay:I have feeling for you to Vanessa ! Ness:really ? Jay:who wouldn't your like stunning Ness:aww thank you ! Jay:wanna be my girlfriend? Ness:I'd love to ! *smiles* Jay:good ! *smiles* *jay kissed me and it lasted a few mins before he left to go get food cause I was hungry and it was now 2am but who cares I gotta eat so while he was gone I took a picture for insta*

@Vanessa.Miller Caption:well I knew going into the police industry that there will be incidents and that it is extremely dangerous but I guess I never thought that would happen to me until today ! While attending the Chicago police department award Ceremony I was shot in the shoulder , but the bullets been removed and I'm doing very well !! I just wanna thank @Jay.Halstead for being by my side from the scene to the hospital and @Kelly.severide for leaving work to come see me when he heard the news and all of my co workers at district 21 and the medical staff here at med !
