Vanessa's POV *I woke up at 6:30 am and quickly rolled out of bed to get a shower before getting dressed for work*

*I put this outfit on and I curled my hair and put it up in a high ponytail and I did some light makeup Before heading downstairs to get started on breakfast for the kids when I got downstairs I got out 3 plates as it was now 7 am and the kids should be downstairs any minute since jay was going to wake them up and I gave them all some cereal and a blueberry muffin and then Noah and Lexi came Downstairs* Ness:good morning ! Noah:morning mom! *smiles* Lexi:what's for breakfast? Ness:cereal and blueberry muffins Lexi:ooh !! *they sit down and start to eat* Ness:where's your brother ? Lexi:dads trying to wake him up Ness:I see *and about 5 mins later he comes downstairs with jay right behind him arguing with each other* Kai:dad! I'm tired Jay:I don't care ! Sit down and eat *says sternly* Ness:what's going on ? Kai:dads making me get up and eat breakfast Ness:well your up now so you might as well eat *the kids eat there food and i then braid Lexis hair per her request and then The kids leave to get on the bus and me and jay leave and head towards the district* At the district *when we arrived we got out of the truck and headed inside* Trudy:morning Halstead's ! Ness:morning Trudy Jay:morning ! *we headed upstairs to the bullpen where everyone seemed to be at there desk chilling and Hank was in his office with his door closed* Jay:what's going on ? Adam:Chief of commandment came and requested to talk to sarge Ness:that can't be good Kevin:only one way to find out *we put our things away and we sat down at our desks and waited* Hailey:anyone want coffee ? Ness:I'll have some please Hayley:yeah coming up *she goes in the break room and comes Out with 2 cups of coffee one for her and one for me* Ness:thanks ! Hayley:no problem *we waited another 5 mins and then sarge and chief came out and she walked away from the bullpen heading downstairs and sarge stood there and stared at us* Adam:what was that about sarge ? Hank:Sargent Harris in New York is requesting our help in a case Ness:how so ? Hank:they want us to go to New York but that isn't going to work for everyone! So myself and Hayley have been selected by commandment to go help out Hailey:wait ? I'm going to New York ? Hank:yeah go home and pack your bags we leave in 3 hours Hailey:oh uh okay ! *packs up her things and heads* Hank:and for the rest of you , Your going to be working as if it was any other day Adam:who's going so be our Sargent ? Hank:that's the next bit of news ! Chief Walker has decided to give a part time promotion to Jay Halstead to stand in as a Acting Sargent whenever I may not be here ! So he's know in charge Jay:what? Hank:congratulations! The office is now yours For how ever long we are gone Jay:thanks sarge ! Or should I saw Sargent Halstead Jay:just call me what you usually call me ! I don't know if I will ever get used to Sargent Adam:are you going to move in to the office or What ? Jay:yes . I'm going now *jay goes and moved in the office which felt so wrong . I mean not having sarge and Hailey here is one thing but having jay in sarges office is a hole other level of weird that's going to take Some getting used to* 2 hours later Jay:*comes out of the office* suit up everyone we got a armed robbery happening now ! Kevin you ride with Adam and Kim Kevin:copy that Jay:address is sent to you guys now ! *we all got on our vests and headed out to the truck* At the robbery place which was a bank *when we arrived we all got out of our cars and headed over to the patrol cars* Jay:what going on ? ?:who are you ? Jay:Sargent Jay Halstead intelligence ?:sargent huh. Jay:I just got promoted today anyways what's going on ? ?:1 guy 3 people injured so far Jay:alright Kim,Adam you take the back of the building Kevin I want you to stay out here with patrol incase he lets anyone go out and myself and Vanessa Will take the front Kim:copy that ! *everyone does what he says and me and jay headed inside the bank from the front and I see 1 hostage hiding under the desk so I go over* Ness:mam are you hurt ? *i say quietly* ?:*shakes head* Ness:okay where is he ? ?:*points to the back* Ness:okay go ! *i radio Kim and Adam to tell them but before we knew it Adam had him in cuffs so we finished up and headed back*
