One chicago BBQ

Vanessa's POV
*i was currently at the district working on some paperwork we had the day off today because today is the one Chicago annual BBQ with everyone from Med,PD and the fire department it was only me and Erin here at the district upstairs besides the officers downstairs*
Erin:so what are you wearing to the bbq ?
Ness:idk I was thinking cute bit comfy
Erin:yeah me to !
Ness:oh and I got a invitation to the award ceremony for the Chicago police department did you get one to ?
Erin:oh yes ! I forgot to tell you that !
Ness:do we have to wear are uniforms ? Or just dress up ?
Erin:you wear all black
Ness:well I think I can do that !
*we finish our paperwork at 2pm which have us 2 hours before we had to go to the BBQ so I got in my car and said good bye to Erin and I drove home*
At home
*when I got home I got in the shower and got dressed for the bbq*

*I put this outfit on cause it was the middle of summer in Chicago and I curled my hair and did some makeup and I headed downstairs and put on a pair of white Nike Air Forces and I left the house at 3:30 and that got me to the bbq at exactly 4pm*
At the bbq
*as soon as I arrived I parked my car and locked the doors and I headed over to wear everyone was*
Kelly:there she is !
Jay:hey ness ! *smiles*
Ness:hey ! *goes over to the cooler and grabs a beer before heading back over to jay and Kelly*
Jay:i heard you got a invite to the Chicago PD awards ceremony
Ness:yeah you ?
Jay:yeah ! They only send 4 people from each district
Ness:so me,you,Erin and Hank ?
Jay:yup !
Ness:I feel so honoured! But how do they pick ?
Jay:it's kinda at random I think ! I'm not to sure
Ness:k !
*we talked for a little and then Kelly came up to me*
Kelly:hey !
Ness:hi
Kelly:did Brittany go back yet ?
Ness:yeah sorry she left yesterday why ?
Kelly:oh I found her old necklace at my dads house I thought she should have it back
Ness:oh well I'm sure she will be back in town soon
Kelly:k !
*kelly left and it was now me and jay*
Jay:necklace ?
Ness:oh Kelly and Brittany dated back in high school for a couple months
Jay:ah ! I was a little confused there
Ness:yeah they don't talk about it much
*we talked some more with everyone and then I headed over to to wear some of the fire department was*
Ness:what's going on over here ?
Matt:oh ! We are trying to get Kelly to propose to Stella
Ness:omg yes !!!
Kelly:idk man
Gabby:come on Kelly ! You already have a child on the way together
Kelly:yeah ! But I don't know if she wants to get married yet
Ness:she does !
Kelly:and how do you know that ?
Ness:she talks about it with me all the time
Kelly:your playing with me right ?
Ness:no ! Not At all
Kelly:ok fine ! But how am I supposed to get her ring size
Ness:leave that to me !
Kelly:Vanessa ! Don't screw this up
Ness:I won't ! But don't you trust me ?
Kelly:of course ! But this is kinda a big deal
Ness:don't worry Kelly ! I got it
Kelly:k !
Gabby:oh ness !
Ness:yeah ?
Gabby:wanna go play some badminton?
Ness:uh yeah
Gabby:come on !
*I ran over to the badminton net and we played a couple rounds and then I went around and took some pictures with people for our end of the year slideshow that we do and then 7pm rolled around and everyone started leaving so I headed out to my car and drove home and when I got home I got in the shower and put on a pair of Pyjamas and I lied down in bed and I posted some pictures from today and then watched some TV and headed to bed*
