My memory of last night was rather vague, as all I could remember was going to a party and passing out at some random location.
"What the hell happened?" I quietly thought to myself.
I soon got my answers, as I heard Pen wish me a good morning. I slowly opened my eyes to see all of my friends sleeping around me and next to the front door of a random house I'd never seen before. I slowly got up to examine the house a bit on my own while my friends were still dazed from the night before. That's when I felt a sharp pain in my right foot. I saw that I had rolled my ankle on someone's flashlight, and the broken glass cut my ankle up pretty badly.
"Who in their right mind would randomly pack a flashlight?" I thought to myself as I didn't think much of it.
I winced in pain, but that sudden noise was enough to wake the others. They all got up and stared at me. That's when I realized Pen was staring at my foot. His eyes widened and he solemnly stated, "Tree, your foot's bleeding dude."
At this point, I noticed that my ankle was completely swollen and red. I glanced down and saw that my ankle bone was sticking out through my skin and blood was gushing out of my foot by the second. Panicked, I tried to walk over to what I thought was the kitchen. Every step ached more and more, as my bone was exposed to the air. Here, all my friends had noticed and were rushing to my aid. Pen dialed 911 while Pie, being the badass she was, took me to the ground so I wasn't standing on my throbbing foot. Remote and Liy opened their upstairs doors and paced down the steps. It turned out they had rooms of their own and slept there for the night. Remote grabbed some paper towels from the kitchen and dried the fresh blood off my foot, while Liy frantically searched the living room cabinets for any bandages or any first aid material. She had no luck in doing so. The others just stood around me trying to help. I saw that there was a large stain of blood on the house's carpet. Gosh, I felt so bad for the house owner who probably had to clean it up after everyone left. We stay for only one night and something like this happens.
It wasn't long until paramedics arrived on the scene. They had to take out a stretcher just because I messed up my ankle. Right when the paramedics put me on the stretcher, I knew I wouldn't remember much from there besides passing out, probably from the amount of blood I lost that day.
I woke up in the emergency room and a doctor walked into the room I was staying in to supervise me and inform me of the details of what was happening just in case I didn't know. When I saw the doctor, I thought I might've been hallucinating. I couldn't describe the doctor. They briefly introduced themselves shortly after entering the room.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Black Hole. I will be taking x-rays of your injury and running some diagnostics while we wait for the surgeons to arrive." The doctor said with a deadpan tone.
It was now that I noticed I had a tightly wrapped temporary bandage around my right foot. Dr. Black Hole set up the X-rays and got to work. It impressed me that the doctor could do all this without hands, as he held the equipment and took notes with a pencil using nothing but sheer gravitational pull force. I was just thankful that he was super efficient and precise with every move he made. While the black hole was taking X-rays, for some reason, I started to unexpectedly blush and my cheeks became warm.
"Tree! What are you doing? Are you seriously showing signs of love at a doctor's office? Snap out of it!"
I just couldn't help it, It was love at first sight. Although I tried to control myself, I couldn't stop blushing. I think the doctor noticed, but he didn't say anything. He just carried on with the tests and X-rays.
Moments later, the doctor came back with the results.
"I have some good news and some not-so-good news. Which would you like to hear first?" He asked politely.
