Chapter 10 - Pie

Today was the day my friends and I would depart back home. Going home was a bittersweet moment. I wanted to leave since I didn't have to put up with that idiot Liy's bullshit and Remote trying to defend her, acting as if she's done nothing wrong. Gosh, they were both so annoying. However, I loved spending time with my childhood friends and we went on so many adventures this trip.

I woke up and immediately started packing my things, as Pillow's butler would arrive in our limo at 10:00 in the morning. Why would Pillow book so early in the morning? I understand she's an early riser but dang girl! 10:00 am is early for lots of people! Bottle followed soon after, packing her things too. I headed out the door to wait outside. We skipped breakfast that day since we figured we could eat back at home. I walked outside the door and guess who was standing there? That bitch Liy was right outside her door too. Remote wasn't there, but if she was, she would've left because of the high tensions between us.

"Pie." Lily glared at me and gritted her teeth.

I rolled my eyes and walked over to her.

"Morning Liy. What do you want?" I asked.

"Nothing. Just waiting outside."

We stared at each other for what felt like an eternity. Liy walked back into her room after 30 seconds and I did the same, as it would be weird for me to be the only one standing outside the door. I pulled out my phone and sat on the bed, watching Pillow pack her things. That's when I got a notification on the top of my phone. I read it and I visibly got angry. Liy had texted me. I checked my phone to see she ghost-pinged me. I angrily hopped on the private text thread and started typing away.

Pie: Why'd you text me and delete the message?

Liy: Sorry, it was a misclick

Pie: Ok

Pie: Anyways, can I talk to you about something real quick?

Liy: Umm sure ig?

Pie: I'm sorry for being such a bitch to you and Remote. I was thinking about the way I had been treating you and Remote for the majority of this trip and realized how bad of a person I was. It's cool if you don't forgive me and all but I just wanna let you know I'm sorry for being such a problem.

Liy: Pie! You weren't a problem at all! I was thinking about the same thing and thought I was being overly resentful towards you. I talked with Remote about it and she explained that I should talk it out with you lol. For your apology? I forgive you. It takes a real friend to apologize to someone like this.

Pie: Thank you Liy. I promise I won't be "that girl" in the friend group anymore 😂

Liy: Honestly, I'm proud of you for apologizing, as I was going to be the one to make the first move, not expecting you to. For that, I'm grateful already. <3

Pie: Still friends?

Liy: Still friends.

My heart warmed and I started to cry. I wasn't used to sending messages like this one, as I was known as the "badass one" in the group. Pillow noticed me crying and I instantly stopped, insisting I was watching a movie. She wiped my tears and continued packing, shrugging her shoulders as she walked away. She was almost finished, but according to Liy, Tree couldn't find his phone and he was freaking out about it. Liy and I continued to chat via text for the next 15 minutes until Tree found his phone.

I walked out of the hotel room and saw Liy and Remote walk out too. Liy smiled at me and waved hi. I smiled back and gave her the same energy back. Remote had a confused look on her face, as she didn't know the text conversation Liy and I had. Remote whispered in Liy's ear. I knew she was asking why Liy was being nice to me all of a sudden. Liy probably explained it since Remote left her alone and nodded her head after she was done explaining what had happened.
