I woke up in a cold sweat, as I hadn't slept well the night before. I was just too excited to go on a trip with my best friends! I stayed at Pie's house since she had a spare suitcase. Groggy, I noticed it was eight in the morning and decided to sleep another hour, as Pie and I only had to leave by 10:45 since it took 15 minutes to drive to Pillow's house. However, I failed to notice Pie standing right next to my open door with a megaphone.

"WAKE UP SLEEPYHEAD!" Pie yelled into the megaphone on full volume.

I jumped out of bed and let out a high-pitched scream. Pie started hysterically laughing at my reaction.

"Gotcha!" Pie continued laughing.

Upon realizing Pie had woken me up, I frowned and went back to bed, telling Pie to let me sleep.

"Nuh uh, Bottle! We gotta get ready for the vacation!" Pie told me. Although she was my best friend, she could be pretty over the top and annoying sometimes.

I had no other choice but to get up and get ready. I did my morning routine in her house. I've been to Pie's house so many times, her parents consider me her sister. Today, I decided to put extra makeup on since I wanted to look good for my friends, specifically Tree, whom I admired greatly since middle school. Pie's mom had already prepared breakfast for the two of us. Pie's parents were generally pretty strict, however, they took it a little easier on Pie today since she was about to leave. Although Pie's parents were strict towards her, they were always really nice to me, letting me stay at Pie's house for weeks, even months, at a time.

After breakfast, Pie and I grabbed our luggage and got ready to leave. Pie's parents waved us goodbye and even slipped us some gum for the ride. According to them, it made Pie more focused on driving.

Pie and I left the house and drove to Pillow's house. I called shotgun despite being the only one besides Pie in the car. During the ride, Pie and I talked about nothing but memes and friends. I showed Pie a picture Tree sent me in private messages. The picture was of Pen doing push-ups on his bed while watching his favorite anime. Not only was the picture funny, but also the caption read "Never skip arm day." Upon showing the picture to Pie, she started laughing loudly. She laughed so hard, she swerved a bit on the freeway. As a result, some drivers honked at her, but she didn't care much.

Halfway through the drive, Pie noticed she forgot to fill her car with gas, so we had to stop by a gas station on the way.

"Pie, can we buy some snacks for the road? I don't wanna be hungry!" I whined.

"Ugh. No Bottle, I don't wanna be spending too much money without my parents knowing." Pie sternly replied.

"Please???" I replied with puppy eyes. I knew Pie couldn't say no to me when I did that.

"Okay okay. I can't say no to that face." Pie gave a warm smile.

"Yayy! Thank you Piey!" I tightly hugged her with a big smile. Pie laughed and hugged me back gently.

We walked into the gas station and decided to spend quite a bit on food. Pie ended up spending 50 dollars on snacks alone, excluding gas. When we went to purchase our snacks, the cashier became wide-eyed as he saw us put a mountain of goods on the counter. We saw him mutter to himself, "I don't get paid enough for this," before scanning all the items.

We left the gas station with a full tank and two grocery bags full of snacks.

"I thought you weren't going to spend much you said," I questioned.

"I decided to make exceptions for you," Pie stated. She smiled at me and I slightly blushed.

We got back on the road and proceeded to drive to Pillow's house. Upon arriving on the right street, we saw Fanny and her boyfriend sitting on a park bench gossiping about people at school. That's when Pie got a genius idea. We were going to prank them.
