Liy creaked open the door to the building. We all turned on our flashlights and made our way inside the building. Everyone but Bottle, who just stood by the entrance, staring blankly inside the house.
"Bottle?" Pillow asked.
"I'm scared... I don't think this is a good idea anymore," Bottle shook.
"Bottle, we all have to go. If we split up, this thing will kill us all individually. But if we stick together, all of us will in. I promise." Liy stuttered.
Bottle got a hold of herself and walked inside. She turned on a flashlight Liy had given her outside.
We opened the cellar and started to climb Down. Liy led the way the entire time. While we were climbing down, everyone was silent. No one said a word, and I could see why. We were on high alert just in case the worst happened. It wasn't long until we reached the underground house.
"Alright guys, let's stick together. Let's just find Remote and get the fuck outta here," Liy ordered.
We searched the entire three-story house.
"Remote? Remote?" I called out. Everyone else did too.
No answer.
We continued looking but with no luck. That is until Lightning found something in the basement. We all followed after him, as we were afraid of getting ambushed.
"Hey Pen, ya got a quarter? We gotta make a wish," Lightning smirked.
"Who would want to make a wish in that fucking thing?"
I saw what they were referring to. There was a giant well in the middle of the basement. I looked down the well. There appeared to be no bottom. I threw a piece of scrap down the well. To my dismay, there wasn't a sound, meaning that the well was bottomless.
"Remote?" Pillow called down the well. All we could hear was her voice echo through the walls of the old well.
"How are we supposed to get down there?" Lightning asked.
Liy looked around. "There!" Liy pointed to a long rope that was stashed in the corner of the room.
"Sweet."
Liy tied the top of the rope to the top of the well, fastening the rope in place. She threw the rope down. Although it didn't seem to hit any ground, she started to descend.
"Wait, Liy, are you sure this is a good idea?" Pen asked with concern.
"We checked the whole house. Nothing. This is our only option as of now," Liy stated.
I peered down the bottom of the well. Something seemed off about the well. Fear shot through my body and I started to shake at the thought of going down a deep dark well into who knows where.
"Guys, this looks super sketchy. Can we just not go down there? I'm concerned for our safety," I shook.
"Tree, remember what we told Bottle? We all stick together," Liy glared at me.
"I know, I know, but I'm just worried. What if one of us gets injured? Or even killed? Remember what happened last time we went to this crackhead house?" I argued.
"Tree. Friends stick together. Just do it this one time. Please. I know you're brave," Liy put a hand on my shoulder.
"Okay, I will," I whispered under my breath, still frightened at the thought.
Liy continued to climb down the rope. "What are you guys waiting for?" She called up once she was a couple of feet inside the well.
"I can do this. I can do this," Bottle said out loud.
