Lighting responded with a frown, "I don't really wanna talk about it right now."

Pie interrupted, "So let me get this straight. This thing takes the form of your worst fear and mimics it?"

"It kinda sounds like a bad dream in real life," Liy mentioned.

"Well, my grandfather thinks that this town is cursed," Lightning told Pillow. "He believes that there is something, one thing, lurking underneath the town, terrorizing the people of Goiky from time to time."

"But it can't be one thing if we all say something different," Liy answered back.

"There is one thing. We established that this thing shapeshifts into something that scares us all most." Pillow reasoned.

"I-I saw a clown..." Tree hesitated. "It was like something straight out of hell."

"Because it isn't real." Pie rolled her eyes. "None of this is real. The clown you saw, the voices Liy heard, the thing that chased Pillow, none of this is real. It's all in our imaginations."

"I don't think so. I know the difference between a bad dream and something in real life," Lightning stated.

"What did you see? Did you see something like the rest of us?" Pillow asked.

Lightning nodded. "Yes. You know the abandoned house that's like big and blue on Dream Street?"

Knowing that the house was easily recognizable, we all nodded and kept listening.

"I was inside when a deranged gunman came inside the house and threatened to kill us. My sister and I were the only ones home at the time. She tried to stop the man from hurting us or taking anything, so the man shot her. I was able to escape the house in time, but I could hear my sister screaming from inside as the man laughed as my sister pleaded my name from outside. I heard one last gunshot before she died. I could hear her screaming bloody murder and pounding on the door before she died. Recently, I've been hearing the sounds of gunshots and seeing the figure of the same man who killed my sister in my peripheral vision." Lightning explained.

"It's alright though. Everyone's afraid of something."

"You've got that right." Pie turned around to see kids shooting each other with toy guns.

"Pie, what are you scared of?" Liy asked.

I nudged Liy.

"War..." Pie stared off into the distance, shaking. "I grew up around lots of Mexican wars..."

We decided to end the conversation, as the things we were talking about were getting too serious.

"Guys, I have something else to show you at my house," Pillow looked at her phone.

We got on our bikes and rode home. My bike's wheel was busted, so I was a bit slower, but Liy stayed behind.

It wasn't long until we all made it to Pillow's house. Pillow opened her garage and showed a giant map inside a secret room in her house. This map was more detailed and marked all of the tragic events that happened in Goiky's history. Lightning looked at the map with interest. There was nothing in the room besides some posters on the wall of many events. There were mugshots, news articles, anything you could think of. Pillow closed the garage door behind us, as she set up.

"I researched every tragic event that happened in Goiky. All of these events happened in very certain places. The bar fire happened here," Pillow exclaimed, pointing to a place on the map with a stick. "The shooting happened here, and the nuclear bomb explosion happened here."
