"What are you doing, Abir? At least let me see!" I insisted as he kept his hands over my eyes, guiding me from behind as we walked toward his surprise.
"Now, see," he finally said, lifting his hands from my eyes.
I opened my eyes, curious to discover what he had planned, when I suddenly I heard the loud pop of a party popper. I realized he had just burst it right over my head, and I couldn't help but chuckle at his excitement.
I shook my head at him in disbelief when he gestured for me to look in front of me and I turned around.
The moment I turn my head, I felt my breath catch in my lungs, and for a moment, my heart stopped.
My mouth hung open as my hand flew to cover it, and my eyes literally sparkled as I looked at the beautiful house in front of me.
It was so pretty, cute, and charming-like a house right out of a dream. Oh, and the way it was decorated with flowers even from the outside was beyond words.
It wasn't too big or too small, just perfectly designed, with a small swing in the garden adorned with lovely flowers, creating a romantic atmosphere.
The house itself radiated a cozy and homely vibe. I was lost in admiration for the stunning house when I suddenly felt something cold in my hands.
Curiously, I raised my hand to see what it was, only to find a set of keys resting there, and a gasp escaped my mouth.
"Kabir, don't tell me-" I asked, still in a state of shock. Before I could even finish my sentence, Kabir replied, "Yes, that's your house, my home's house," he said, looking at me with a faint smile.
"But why?" I asked, releasing a shaky breath.
"Why not! My wife once told me that she didn't have a home she could truly call her own. And honestly, when I thought about it, I realized how right you were at that moment. So here is your house, Mrs. Aadhira Malhotra, where you can come anytime you want, and where no one can step in without your permission-not even me."
His words completely won my heart over and over again. In the next moment, I grabbed his collar, pulling him closer before slamming my lips onto his, giving my husband a return gift for this incredible surprise without even a second thought before my mind changes.
"Still! We already have a house. What will I do with this one?" I asked, pulling back from the kiss, feeling flushed and trying to change the topic.
"Whatever you want," he replied with a reassuring smile. "Maybe you can spend some alone time here, or we could come here for vacations. Or better-" he leaned in closer, his breath warm against my ear, "we can sneak away some moments here in the future, just the two of us, away from our kids," he whispered, a mischievous glint in his eyes that made me blush harder.
As I put the key inside keyhole of the beautifully decorated space, my eyes widened in wonder.
A large bunch of balloons floated gracefully from the door, rising into the air. The vibrant rainbow colors of the balloons symbolized the different phases of our life together, each hue adding its own charm and beauty to the moment.
Kabir's pov
"Kabiirrrrr!" I heard Aadhira gasp loudly, making me turn to her with worry etched on my face. Concern filled my voice as I asked, "What happened?"
