"This is how I imagined it. You and me together like this." He took her hand and kissed it
and intertwined their fingers. "You know I really love you right? I might not be all that expressive and romantic but I do love you."
"I know Noah and I love you too."
"But you also love Liam too right?"
She sighed. "I do."
"You know he's not going to make you happy. He's narcissistic. He loves the sound of his own voice. He'll always be running off to some party or event or some friend. I'll always be here."
"I know. That's his personality Noah. It's not that he doesn't love me, and I really don't think he's narcissistic. That's just the way he is."
"You're making excuses for him?"
"I'm not making excuses for him. I'm really not."
"You know, and I know he's not the one for you." He tipped her chin up and kissed her deeply. He said against her lips..."I'm the one for you, that's why I came that day in the cafeteria and started talking to you. Although Liam was the first one to openly say he had a thing for you. I was attracted to you first."
He shifted a bit in the hammock and his hands went down and came back up. He took her hand again and slipped a ring on it.
She gave a cry. "Noah!" She stared at the beautiful ring. " The diamond is pink." She looked up at him.
"Let me tell you why it's pink." He turned the ring back and forth on her finger and it glinted brightly. "It's called a pink emerald. It signifies our match was made in heaven and that the two of us will live happily ever after."
She gasped. "Noah!" She threw her arms around his neck and kissed him. "And you said you weren't romantic."
They kissed again.

She played with Noah's ring on the chain around her neck. He knew she couldn't wear it now because she was still deciding and he surprised her by pulling out a chain as well to hang it on.
When they gotten home she went to her room to freshen up.
Liam called.
"Feeling like going to watch a movie tonight?"
"I just got back with Noah. I think I'm too tired to go out again."
"What did you and Noah do?"
"Oh, we just went out to eat."
"Ok. Sure you don't want to come out to the movies with me? We're going to watch Fast X?"
"Fast and Furious 10? Isn't the second part of it coming out in 2025?"
"Yup. It's going to be a cinematic delight, with mind-blowing action, and top-notch special effects."
"Ok, ok I'm coming. Can't miss out on that. Just let me throw on something."
"I'll pass for you in 10 minutes."
True to his word he was there in 10 minutes with a car full of friends.
She stood wondering where she would fit, with the belly she was carrying. If she had only known he was coming with a packed car, she wouldn't have gone. Why did she give in and agree? She knew why. Liam could sell sand and convince you to do anything.
