Samantha pulled away from the kiss still hugging him around the waist. She didn't want to tell him but she felt like she had to. "I had a crazy experience today."

"Really?" He looked at her adoringly pulling some stray hair away from her mouth.

She nodded. "Yes. This guy came up to me insisting he knew me."

Shaun's smile fell and.... "He did? That's odd. Why did he think he knew you?"

Samantha shrugged. "I don't know, but he knew my name."

"Maybe you resembled the person he knew."

"I told him that but he was so insistant that I was that person. It really became scary."

Shaun frowned. "He didn't attack you or anything?"

"When I was walking away he did hold my arm." She didn't want to make it sound too serious for him to get upselt, so she played it off as nothing. "I just shook him off.

"Well if he bothers you again, let me know, and we'd make a report. He can't just walk up to strangers and harass them like that."

Samantha nodded and they kissed and fondled somemore. When they came up for air he asked. "So what are we having for dinner?"

'Oh well." She tugged away from him her hands trailing along his chest as she went to dish out the food. "I didn't get time to prepare much so I just re-heated some beans, boiled some rice and did some stew chicken with macaroni salad at the side." After dishing out the first plate, she took another and did the same. "Go ahead and take a bath, I'll come up after you."

The kids were still sleeping when they sat down to have dinner. "One of my patients died today." Shaun said, shifting the food around on his plate with the fork.

"Oh no that's terrible. What happened?" She looked at him with concern.

Shaun sighed and held Samantha's hand when she reached out to him. his voice was quiet and somber. "She had cancer, and it had spread to her lungs. She was only 36 years old, and she had a young son. She wanted to live and see her son grow and was fighting hard, but it was too late. She passed away today, and it's a terrible thing to lose someone so young."

"Oh Shaun that's so sad." She came around the table and sat on his lap hugging him, offering comfort and support.

He wrapped his arms around her, loving the warmth of her curvy body against his. He didn't want it to be the first thing he told her when he got home, so when she had asked asked how his day was, he had just said good. His face was buried in her neck.

"At least she's in a better place now and I'm sure you and your team did all that you could have done for her. You can't save everyone Shaun."

He nodded and took a deep breath, retuning her tender kiss. He knew that she was right, but it still didn't make it easier to accept. He and his team had really done everything they could have to help her, but it was still hard to let go of the hope that she could have been saved. Samantha was right. He was just grateful, she was no longer in pain and at peace.
