Disappointingly, it was her dad who opened the door, and his expression wasn't really encouraging. Noah's heart sank seeing him. Mr Pierre watched Noah with suspicion and hostility, and Noah knew he had to tread carefully.

Her dad scowled at him. "What are you doing here. I thought I told not to step foot back on this property again!" Samantha's dad said, his voice raising as he spoke

Even though Noah expected this, he was still taken aback by her dad's harsh tone. He swallowed, determined to still talk to him, keeping his tone calm and non-confrontational. "Sir, I'm looking for Samantha."

"You despicable fornicator! What makes you think she's here? She's not welcome here!"

Noah rocked back, apalled by her dad's reaction. He was getting the feeling that he didn't care about Samantha and that he would dismiss him. Was he wasting his time and not going to get anywhere in the conversation with him. "Please Sir, Samantha is missing!"

" Consequences for the path she chose. 'Let sinners be consumed from the earth
and let the wicked be no more.
Psalm 104:35'"

"What is wrong with you!" Noah said pissed, her father's judgemental tone and demeanor finally getting to him. He felt like he had wasted his time coming there. Samantha's dad was not listening to him. He was only spewing religious gibberish, and he wasn't getting anywhere with him. The man was delusional. Noah saw Samantha's mom walking across the room in the back and he called out to her, with the expectation she'd be more reasonable and willing to talk with him. "Mrs Pierre, can I talk to you! It's about Samantha!"

She froze and Noah thought she was going to come over and talk to him because he knew she wasn't going to be hostile and aggressive like her husband. Instead, she stared at him with pleading eyes, wringing her hands, and when her husband turned and glared at her, she walked off. He didn't understand why she was moving so submissive and afraid of her husband. Samantha was her daughter too.

"What is wrong with you people!" Noah yelled. "She's your daughter! Don't you care! She's pregnant!" He knew he needed to calm down and keep his feelings in check, but he felt a wave of anger and frustration wash over him over her parent's behavior.

"Get thee hence, Satan!" Mr Pierre shook the Bible at him.

Noah snapped and aggressively lunged forward to punch him out, but something stopped him.

Mr Pierre scrambled back fear in eyes, his hands trembling on the Bible he held. "Be gone! You are not welcomed here!" Then he slammed the door in Noah's face.

Noah stared at the door, took some deep breaths, trying to calm himself down, then left. He drove aimlessly, trying to clear his head and not think about what had just happened. After half an hour of driving, he felt like he had gotten his emotions under control and was himself again.

Noah couldn't afford to lose control again, or he'd never find her. He needed to keep his cool, not let his emotions get the best of him, and focus on finding Samantha. Where could she have gone and how could he find her. He also needed to think about how he was going to handle the situation with his brother Liam if he turned up.

He drove home and went to their room, deciding to go through her bag and books to see if he could find any clues.
Noah checked her messages, and emails, also her calendar and notes, trying to see if she had any plans or appointments that could give him a lead.
