Three days and not a word from Samantha. Noah had gotten so desperate he had even gone to her parents.
Her father behaved no different from the last time and threw him out. She wasn't there.
It was also too coincidental that he hadn't heard anything or seen Liam as well. He had this nagging feeling that Liam had something to do with her disappearance.
Noah made a missing person report and the police started immediately on it.
The police got a warrant that allowed them to access Samantha's cell phone location, as well as to track it via GPS.
After much convincing that Liam was a part her being missing they also got a warrant to track Liam's phone and car.
The police saw from the cellphones GPS, that they were indeed together when they went missing.
They asked Noah if she may have run off with Liam. Noah told them they were engaged and she wouldn't do that.
When they followed the last GPS signal from the phone they found Samantha's bag at the side of a remote road. Her phone was obviously dead.
They got the location history of Liam's phone and car which led them to a cabin down in the woods.
The door was locked and no one seemed to be there. They had seen when they were on their way that Liam's car had left an hour and half ago. They knocked and no answer came and when they knocked again they heard her.
"Hello." He heard her voice.
"Samantha, it's Noah. I'm here with the police. Open the door."
"I can't. It's locked and I don't have the key."
The police broke the door down and she was there.
Noah grabbed her up in his arms even though she stiffened and then relaxed.
It took two weeks to find her. Two weeks of not knowing where she was and what had happened.
The police took her to the station with Noah to make a report. She didn't give them much information. She wouldn't say how she got there, or confirm that Liam was there with her. She wouldn't say what happened in the two week and would clam up.
Noah didn't understand.
She wouldn't meet his eyes. She would tighten up whenever he touched her.
The police couldn't put a warrant out for Liam because they had no evidence.
When they got to his parents, his mom hugged her and Samantha started crying.
His mom looked at him concerned.
While Samantha took a shower, Noah stood in the kitchen talking to his mom.
He told her everything about how they found her and Samantha's responses at the police station.
"Do you think Liam really took her? I know you said his cell phone showed that he was there with her, but he's not like that." His mom asked.
Mom, his phone confirmed he was there with her and remember, he was missing for two weeks.
"She seemed jumpy." His mom said.
"I noticed that too." Noah agreed. "If Liam did anything to hurt her, I'll k*i*l*l him."
Noah, don't say that.
