"No that's not the reason, but I think it's a good thing I did." Samantha said.
"So what are you saying?"
"Liam I'm going to bed."
"No explain what you meant by that?" She made to move around him and he blocked her again. "So you're choosing him, because you're jealous of my friend?"
"Ok you really want to know? I think I have more feelings for Noah. He does things to make me happy. And he doesn't share what we have with anybody else. I don't feel confused about my relationship with him."
"Samantha I love you." He took her hands and kissed one.
"I know. "I love you too but I think I'm more in love with Noah".
"Samantha don't make a rash decision based on a conclusion you jumped to."
"I am not being rash. Feeling like the third wheel is not how I want to feel."
"But you're not the third wheel. You're the legit thing." He pulled her by the waist into him and she tried to use her hands on his chest to push away, but he wasn't letting her go.
"Liam!" She protested, turning her head when he tried to kiss her.
"Dimples, you're all wrong about this. I'm sorry if I give that impression you have about me. I love you. I don't know how again to say it."
"Liam, leave her alone." Noah said in the doorway.
Liam stiffened. Samantha pulled out of his arms and he let her turning towards his brother.
"I thought we were going to let her decide without pressuring?" Liam said.
"We are." Noah replied.
"And you gave her a chain and ring?"
Noah shrugged. "So what. You gave her a ring too."
"That was before."
"I heard her say she chose me." Noah's eyes turned towards her.
Samamtha blushed. "I did."
She and Noah stood staring at each other. Some unspoken communication going on between them while Liam looked on.
Liam walked out, slamming the door to the kitchen.
Samantha took the chain off, admiring the ring..
"Let me." Noah took it from her and slipped it on her finger saying... "Samantha would you marry me? I know the relationship did not start the traditional way, but you're the only one I want to spend my life with."
"Yes." She smiled and they fell into each other's arms, lips locking together.
They told his parents the next day and they were extremely happy for them. His mother asked if Liam knew and they nodded with solemn looks.
No one saw Liam. Infact no one saw him for the rest of the week.
"Have you seen Liam?" Samantha asked Noah Saturday.
"Haven't seen him." Noah shrugged. "Aren't you worried?"
She leaned into him as he stood by the counter and he wrapped his arms around her, smiling when he felt the kicks from her tummy on his.
"Why should I be worried?" He kissed her nose.
"That he's okay. Have you called him?"
"No, but if it would make you feel better I will."
