When Noah got home, he had changed out of his clothes and called his parents to inform them of what had happened at the Medical Office. He would usually update them on the latest development between Samantha, Saint, and himself. He was always grateful for their support.
He proceeded to recount the experience at the medical office. They already knew, for he had told them before the paternity that Saint was his because she was definitely Samantha. They were always there for him and his brother, and they were invested in everything going on in their lives.
The Pl had given him all the information he had discovered, and when Noah had pieced together the scenario of when she went missing and what occurred after, he was livid. The day Samantha was brought in from the hospital, Shaun was right there, in the hospital. He saw the perfect opportunity to have the life that he wanted and took it. Samantha was in a vulnerable place, and Shaun had exploited that. He took advantage of her memory loss. She was vulnerable, pregnant, without her memory, and he had just plain lied to everyone, including Samantha, and said he was her husband. No one knew him well enough to doubt his story, because he had only just started working there six months prior.
Noah had fallen apart when he told his parents that day. He had cried like a baby, his voice breaking with emotions. Hearing Noah's anguish, his parents tried to comfort him and offer support and reassurance even though they were experiencing the same. It was a heart wrenching revelation. They had lost the early years of their twin grandsons lives, and couldn't understand how someone could do something like that. Samantha was like a daughter to them and instead of her being their daughter-in-law, she was married to the man that orchestrated the life she was living.
Noah told them that he didn't tell Samantha everything. He was waiting until the paternity test confirmed the truth, to reveal it all. He wanted to have facts on his side, because it seemed unfair to burden Samantha with the full scope of Shaun's betrayal without the certainty, that Saint was his son.
Now updating them on the fact that the paternity was done and that they were waiting on the results, made him feel a sense of release from all the pent-up frustration and anxiety he had been feeling.
The uncertainly that had haunted him was now replaced with a feeling of clarity, because he was going to have his predicted conclusion.
