Authors note: I retconned Kenny telling Rodger about the rumor to Zane sending Rodger a text. It mare more sense if it came from him.

This can't be real Rodger thought as he reread the text. He has to be joking. A stupid prank that he was playing for some unknown reason. At least that was what he hoped.

But it was not. It was all to real and evidently had spread around the school like wildfire. Not only that but also a tasteless joke about the size of his private parts.

Rodger could feel the steam as it made its way out of his ears. He wanted to find the person who started this and make him or her regret that they ever conceived this horrible, malicious lie.

I'm just glad that I've grounded Parker from social media. Who knows what is being said about him online. I might not allow him back on for awhile for his sake.

He asked Zane if he had any idea who started it but he did not though he was determined to find out. Rodger asked to keep him updated which he said he would.

Rodger then decided to call Dean LaMee to see what is going on at that school. He excused himself from the desk and walked out the side exit as he dialed the school.

"Westfield Academy." The secretary said.

"This is Rodger Cole I would like to speak to Dean LaMee please." He said frustration filling his voice.

Rodger paced back and forth as he waited. During his wait he recieved a text from Cyrus who had heard the rumor from his cousin Felix. He thanked him for letting him know.

"Hey Rodger I was just about to give you a call." LaMee said. He had just finished with Wesley and his mom about the rumor circulating around him and Christine.

"About the disgusting rumor about Parker." Rodger said with ire in his voice.

"You've already heard about it." Lamee said.

"Yes I have." Rodger moved out of the way as a car side car made its way up the alley he was standing in. It was one of the lot boys leaving for the day. "I wish I had heard about from the administration of the school that my son attends."

"And I was planning to call you about Rodger." The dean said. "But I was dealing with another matter and we are investigating the rumor." Lamee then said "You will be happy to know that the girl he allegedly sent the text to is saying that the rumor is false."

"I know the rumor is false." Rodger said. "I raised Parker better than that." His older son Spencer on the hand was a different story. This would be something he would do as a teen. "Plus his cell phone has been locked in my safe at home since Friday."

"I guess that would have made it difficult for him to send any pictures wouldn't it." Lamee said.

"Yes it would." Rodger said "Do you have any idea who started this rumor?"

"No." Lamee said. "It must be someone out to hurt Parker but I can't imagine who it would be. Parker is very well liked among the student body."

"He can't be too liked if people are making jokes about the size of his penis."

"I'm sure that is a few immature students." Lamee said. "I doubt many of the students are listening to the rumor about him or laughing at that joke."

"Tell me what are you going to do to stop it." Rodger said. "I don't want to send him to school tomorrow and have him bullied and harassed over a stupid rumor."

"He's not going to be bullied or harassed." The dean said in an assuring tone that Roger took little comfort in. "But we will call an assembly tomorrow and squash the rumors tomorrow."

"And what about the source of these rumors?" Rodger asked. "What are you doing about putting a stop to this person before they spread another rumor." One even more hurtful then the last two he thought.

"We are doing our best to find out who spread them."

"Do better." Rodger thundered.

"Please calm down."

"I'll calm down when you get the students in your school under control and they stop joking about my son's penis." Spit flew from his mouth as he spoke.

"I will I promise." Lamee said.

"I'll hold you that." Rodger said and then hung up. He then leaned against the building and lot out a heavy sigh. I can't believe this is happening. As if Parker did not already have enough crap to deal with now he has to deal with rumors tarnishing his reputation, cruel jokes about his privates being bantered about, being the subject of laughter and ridicule

And on top of that I still need to tell him that he can't talk to Christine for six weeks which will kill him.

For Parker's sake I better find a way to convince Melinda to rescind the punishment.

He then dialed her number which went to voice mail after the first ring. "Hey Melinda its Rodger. I really need to talk to you about this whole punishment thing. Please call me back."

He then shoved the phone in his pocket and went back into the dealership.

Melinda had seen Rodger's name appear on the dashboard but ignored it. She was not in the mood to talk to anyone at the moment. Especially since she knew why he was calling and that was a conversation she did not want to have.

"Why is Mister Cole calling you?" Christine leaned against the passenger door looking out the window.

"None of your business." Melinda snapped.

"Can I talk to Parker?" She asked.

"No you can't talk to Parker." Melinda said incredulously.

"Please mom." Christine began to cry again. "I need to see if he is okay."

"I'm sure he is fine." Melinda said dismissively.

"Mom..."

"I said no." Melinda yelled. "Listen about as well as your father you know that." She slowdown as they approached a red light. "Both of you have to be the most stubborn headed people I have ever met." The car then stopped. "Frankly I don't know how Parker puts up with you."

"And I don't know how dad puts up with you." Christine said. "Oh that's right he left so he would not have to put up with you."

Melinda scowled. "Let's be clear he left so he did not have to put up with you and your disrespectful attitude not me. You chased your father out of the house and are the reason why he won't come back."

"Whatever you say mom."

A car then beeped its horn alerting Melinda that light had turned green. "I do say." Melinda said as they drove through the intersection. "And I am done with your disrespect, your defiance, and disobedience."

"That was a lot of D's mom."

Rage filled her eyes as she said "You are getting the belt when we get home."

"I don't care."

"Oh you will care." Melinda said. "Believe me."

Her fingers turned white as she gripped the wheel. Maybe this attitude correction will take she thought.
