"Hey, isn't that Poom and Sun?" one girl said to her best friend as they were shopping at a department store in the Ploenchit area.
"I think so too! Check their Instagram to see if they posted anything to confirm it's them. I'm afraid to ask directly in case I'm wrong," her friend eagerly replied, urging her companion to take out her phone and open the Instagram app. Her slender fingers tapped to look at the profile pictures with the verified badge, wanting to see if there were any posts indicating the two's location so she could identify them.
"See anything in their stories?" the friend asked.
"There's a coffee shop, but I'm not sure where," she replied.
"Just go ask them directly!"
"No way! That would interrupt their private time."
"But you're the one who noticed them, so just go ask and get it over with," the friend kept urging the initiator.
Truthfully, both girls were equally curious because they had been following this couple since the series' launch event. Getting to accidentally encounter the actors you admire without expecting it is the highest fortune in life. Even though they wanted to go greet them and ask to take pictures, they also didn't want to disturb the actors' personal time.
"Let's just take pictures and video from here," the girl said, raising her phone to secretly snap photos and video from afar where they were standing. Although they couldn't get up close with the artists they admired, this was still a lovely occasion today.
'Such amazing luck to see them on a date together!'
'Fujoshi's dream!'
The photos and videos the two girls secretly took were posted on App X and immediately went viral. The fanbase for this couple grew day by day as a result of the intimate moments the two displayed. Many people were captivated by their chemistry when they were together.
'I'm telling you they're really dating!'
'OMG! My ship has sailed!'
Some even exaggerated the fact that the two were seriously dating. But this was normal in the BL series world, especially in Thailand, where selling the fantasy relationship was often done to the point where fans deluded themselves into thinking it was real. However, this didn't trouble the actors themselves or the producers much. The more people shipped, the more money flowed into them.
Kan, relaxing at home watching TV, had no idea that Poom and Sun were currently the hot topic being discussed like this online until his best friend Kim brought the gossip from App X for him to see.
"Have you seen this?" Kim asked, holding out his phone screen for the others to view.
"Seen what?" Kan replied, looking at the other's face before glancing down at what was shown to him.
"The others who are in the same series as you Poom and Sun, right? Someone took pictures of them at the mall together, and now people think they're secretly hooking up," Kim explained.
"Huh!? Just from one clip and pic!?" Kan was quite confused. He didn't understand why others would jump to that conclusion.
"So, is it true or not?" Kim's expression clearly displayed his curiosity. He lightly shook Kan's arm because he noticed his close friend was making a frustrated face, as if not wanting to answer.
"I don't know," Kan emphasized. When he thought about it seriously, he really didn't witness anything like that. If looking at it neutrally, not from a shipper's view, there was nothing going on as far as he knew. They were just normal coworkers who got along well and joked around, but there were no romantic moments or cheating scandals that he knew of.
