Kan sat on the sofa in front of the television in his home, having met up with his college pals for supper after not seeing them in nearly two years. He expended so much energy today that it felt like he'd been alive for a week.

From morning to dusk, close friends stay nearby. When you don't see each other for a while, there's so much to chat about. Especially considering his group featured chatty people who shouted loudly. So today felt like an ongoing speaking competition in which no one wanted to lose.

"Ugh..." He gave a big sigh before sitting up and reaching for the remote to switch on the television. He wanted to unwind a little while waiting for the supper he had ordered via a delivery service.

However, before he could see the movie on the screen, he fell asleep on the sofa. Perhaps he was fatigued from being outside all day.

The TV sound continued to play while he slept, unmoving on the sofa. He remained immobile throughout the film's action sequences. If someone came by, they might be astonished to see that he was still alive.

Buzz...buzz...

Kan's brow furrowed slightly as his phone vibrated, but he remained asleep. His fingers hit the side button to silence the humming before falling asleep. He had no idea where the tiredness came from.

Ding dong! Ding dong!

The doorbell rang twice, finally waking Kan up from his deep sleep. After such a sound sleep, he got up groggily, not fully awake, but his legs carried him up to stand and walk to the front door immediately.

"Oh! Were you asleep? The familiar male voice urged Kan to return to his senses.

"Hello, P' Book. What up? Why did you come to my home?" Kan inquired in confusion. He had not expected the other person to pay him a visit at home in this manner. P' Book had only dropped him off once before, so he didn't expect the others to know how to find his residence.

"Not much. I happened to be performing errands in this area and remembered your house was nearby. So I came by to see you," Book stated.

"Oh... Did you want to come in first?"

"Nah. "Do you want to go eat somewhere?"

"Eat what?"

"There's a famous roasted duck place around here; I think I've seen it on TikTok."

"Really?"

"Wanna go...?"

"Sure, P'. Let me lock up first." Kan dashed back inside to turn off the TV, AC, and lights.

To be honest, he'd been dining out with his friends all day and was completely full. He chose not to eat anymore tonight because he was already full. But with P' Book knocking on his door like this, he couldn't pass up the opportunity.

He looked down at his phone to check the time. Even though it was late, the faint gurgling noises coming from his stomach were clear indications that he needed to eat a little more, regardless of how much he had previously eaten.

"All set?" Book inquired when he saw Kan emerge.

"Yup!"

Book nodded, waiting for Kan to walk out and completely secure the front gate. They then moved on to Book's new CHR, which he had recently traded in due to excessive wear and tear on his previous one.

"This new car is really nice," Kan remarked as he entered. He moved his gaze to the driver's side with the intention of making fun.

"Oh, come on. I'm a salesperson who frequently drives for work, okay? After seven years of driving the old one, it was time to change," Book said.
