"It is almost time," Book said to the person on the phone, telling him to get ready after talking on the phone for about forty minutes while Book drove straight to Kan's house to pick him up and take him to work with him today.
The director invited Book to a couple's scene workshop with the series' main character, Link, after the previous time shooting the love scene with Book did not go as planned. Link was overly excited, so the filmed scenes could not be shown. They had to reshoot or retake that scene to fix it, and the director did not want to repeat the mistakes. So he informed P' Wandee that he wanted to book Book and Link for an additional workshop so that when it came time to film, they could complete it quickly and efficiently.
The familiar car pulled up and parked in front of Kan's house. When the homeowner spotted it, he dashed out the front door, taking care to latch and lock it properly. He dressed casually today because he planned to spend a long time sitting in the office while Book finished his workshop.
"Help me look today at what needs to be fixed and how, if our chemistry is working out, and stuff like that," Book said as Kan got into the car and closed the door.
"Okay," Kan replied.
"You have seen a lot of BL series, so you should be familiar with chemistry, scene pacing, and other aspects. That's why I asked you to assist me in looking."
"No problem. I've been watching since high school."
"Great."
The distance from Kan's house to the office studio was quite long. According to the geographical map, it could be in another province, but it was still in the Bangkok metropolitan region. Even though the road was clear and they could drive without traffic, it still took an hour.
Kan fell asleep briefly during the voyage, exhausted after not sleeping for several nights in a row. He was exhausted from trying to find solutions, so he fell asleep. If he could not sleep, he would get up and do something strenuous until he eventually fell asleep on his own. Plus, Book's playlist was mostly drowsy, so he dozed off without realizing it.
"Kan, we have arrived," Book said softly.
"Mm..." Kan mumbled quietly to inform the caller that he was awake now. His eyelids slowly opened, and one hand attempted to undo the seatbelt.
Book shut off the engine and opened the door to exit downstairs. Kan grabbed the small bag he had brought and slung it over his shoulder before opening the door and following him outside. They walked together through the small cafe inside the office, which served both employees and company-signed artists, because the location was quite remote from other shops and stores. This was a wise decision because, in addition to selling to firm employees, local residents and employees from neighboring businesses visited on a daily basis.
Kan and Book relaxed in the office lounge, which had comfortable air conditioning. The smaller man looked left and right, thinking it was unusually quiet, and inquired in confusion
"Nobody else is here yet?"
"Yeah..." Book also seemed perplexed. He grabbed up his phone and texted Link to check.
Book: Where are you now, bro?
Link: On the highway,P'. Approximately twenty more minutes.
Book: Okay.
Link: I'm coming with P' Num!
Kan and Book do not get along with the director, known as Num. They initially suspected it was due to personal bias, but after numerous consultations, Kan and Book concluded that it was not due to bias, but rather to Num's specific logic and beliefs, which did not correspond with Book and Kan.
