62.) Progress

The classroom is filled with students seated in their respective desks, engaged in a discussion led by their Oral Communication Teacher, Mr. Tan, a middle-aged man with a commanding presence.

The classroom was really silent, Cheska and Phoebe are seatmates, they kept whispering their inside jokes to each other and tried so hard to not laugh.

"Alright, class, let's continue our discussion on effective public speaking techniques. Today, we'll be focusing on vocal projection and body language. Now, who can give me an example of how to project your voice properly?"

Just as Mr. Tan finishes his sentence, the classroom door swings open, causing everyone's attention to shift towards the latecomer.

It's Lyka. She rushes into the room, a hint of embarrassment visible on her face.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Anderson. I got caught up with an unexpected situation."

The room falls silent as all eyes turn towards Lyka. Even Cheska, smirks and begins to whisper to her neighboring classmate.

"Lyka, being punctual is crucial for your success both inside and outside the classroom. It shows respect for your peers and teachers. What happened this time?"

Lyka slowly entered, but then Mr. Tan spoke, "Did I tell you to come in?!"

Lyka hesitates for a moment, her cheeks turning slightly red.

"My alarm didn't go off, and I had to deal with a family emergency and I live far away from this school. I'm really sorry, it won't happen again"

Cheska rolls her eyes and smirks, finding Lyka's excuse amusing.

"I understand that emergencies can arise, Lyka, but it's important to communicate with your teachers beforehand if you know you'll be late. Remember, responsibility and accountability are key qualities in any professional setting. Make sure you take this incident as a learning opportunity."

Lyka nods and went back to her seat, a few hours had passed, it's their dismissal time, but they still stayed in the classroom, fooling around, hanging out, chit-chatting, the other classmates, Anthony, Andre, Ryan Delaney,  Angelina, Yna, went up to Cheska, Phoebe, and Princess as they had a music marathon.

Princess plays the guitar, Phoebe, Delaney, Yna, Angelina, Cheska, Ryan, Anthony, Andre sang Taylor Swift's songs as if they were in a concert, until everyone in the classroom started having a music marathon that the security guard entered their room and scolded them, as the guard left, they all laughed.

After another few hours, Delaney, Cheska, Maris, Phoebe, and Julianna sat together, Delaney spoke, "From now on, the 5 of us here are besties! I'll make a group chat."

Phoebe, who was standing while texting her girlfriend, spoke without looking, "Name the group chat, the dick squad"

The girls started laughing out loud except for Maris, who looks concerned for them.

"Yes! Yes! Good name!"

Later on, Delaney started telling the girls how in love she is with her crush, how handsome he is, and she started screeching and they screamed with her.

They started talking about each other's romantic feelings, Delaney turns to Phoebe, "What about you, any flings?" She smirks.

"I'm talking to my bb girl"

"Oh you're bb girl"

Phoebe suddenly showed them a photo of a short-haired girl covering her mouth, making her look attractive in the photo, and the girls started to squeal, "She's so attractive!!" Said Delaney.
