The classroom is filled with rows of desks, and students are settling in for their English class.
Cheska sits near the door, eagerly awaiting the start of the lesson. She can't help but steal glances in Lyka's direction, not because of the scenic view outside, but because she's secretly attracted to Lyka.
And also she loves to see the scenic view beside Lyka since she was sitting beside the window.
Lyka, sitting a few rows away from Cheska, notices Cheska's frequent looks in her direction.
Unbeknownst to Cheska, Lyka has also caught sight of her stealing glances. Lyka finds it both weird and awkward, unsure of how to interpret Cheska's seemingly constant attention.
As the teacher begins the class, Cheska tries her best to focus on the lesson, but her eyes keep drifting back towards Lyka.
Each time their gazes meet, a moment of tension lingers in the air. Cheska feels her heart race, while Lyka's confusion grows.
Cheska, growing increasingly self-conscious, tries to break the cycle of eye contact by looking away. She shifts her attention to her textbook, pretending to be engrossed in the lesson.
But within seconds, her gaze involuntarily drifts back to Lyka, and their eyes meet once more.
The awkwardness between them intensifies, as both Cheska and Lyka feel the weight of their prolonged eye contact.
Cheska's mind races with thoughts of whether Lyka has noticed her attraction, while Lyka grapples with the strange mixture of flattery and discomfort.
The teacher continues their lecture, unaware of the silent exchange happening between the two students.
Cheska finally gathers the courage to break the cycle, deciding to focus solely on her studies. She averts her eyes, determined to keep her attention away from Lyka for the remainder of the class.
Lyka, relieved that the constant eye contact has ceased, tries to regain her composure and focuses on the lesson.
Although the lingering tension remains, the strange connection between them fades into the background, temporarily forgotten as the class carries on.
The English teacher, Mr. Thomas, stands at the front of the classroom, a smile on his face. The students sit attentively in their desks, awaiting their instructions.
"Today, we're going to do something a little different. I want to see your understanding of our lessons in action. Gojo and Bea, please come up to the front."
Gojo and Bea exchange curious glances before making their way to the front of the classroom. They stand side by side, facing the class, ready to perform.
"Alright, Gojo and Bea, I want you to demonstrate a fun and engaging conversation that incorporates the concepts we've discussed in class. Show us what it means to communicate effectively."
Gojo and Bea exchange a brief nod, then begin their improvised conversation. They engage in a lively, animated discussion, incorporating proper grammar, vocabulary, and active listening skills. Their interaction captivates the attention of their classmates, who watch intently.
As Gojo and Bea continue their conversation, Mr. Johnson scans the classroom and spots Lyka and Cheska.
"Lyka and Cheska, please come up to the front and observe. I want you both to explain what you observe about effective communication after Gojo and Bea have finished."
Lyka and Cheska exchange surprised glances, neither expecting to be called upon. Cheska's eyes widen with shock, but she gathers her courage and rises from her seat. Lyka follows suit, and together they walk hesitantly to the front of the classroom.
