Sanchez, a broken man, sits in a small, gloomy visitation room. His face is etched with remorse and guilt, knowing the weight of his heinous actions.
Suddenly, the door slams open, and the entire Castella family storms into the room, their faces contorted with a mix of fury and anguish.
Bernardo steps forward, his fists clenched tightly.
"YOU TOOK EVERYTHING FROM US, SANCHEZ! MARTHA WAS THE HEART AND SOUL OF OUR FAMILY, AND YOU EXTINGUISHED HER LIGHT."
Sanchez hangs his head, unable to meet the burning stares of the Castella family. The room fills with a charged silence, broken only by Cheska's trembling voice.
Tears stream down Cheska's face as she confronts the man who shattered her family. Her voice trembles with a mix of anger, pain, and betrayal.
Cheska angrily spoke as her eyes well up ij tears of pain and anger, "I loved your daughter, Lyka, with all my heart. But knowing she was raised by a monster like you... I can't look at her the same way anymore. You killed my mother, if my grandma was still alive, she would have killed you in an instant"
Sanchez's eyes well up with tears, his heart heavy with the weight of his sins. He tries to speak, but the words catch in his throat.
Cherylene yelled, "You don't deserve forgiveness, Sanchez. Martha was the love of my life, and you stole her from us. We will never forget, and we will never let you forget."
The room fills with a palpable tension as the Castella family surrounds Sanchez, their anger and grief consuming the space. They unleash their pent-up emotions, their words filled with venom and pain.
Sanchez, overwhelmed by the torrent of anger and sorrow, can only sit in silence, his head bowed in shame.
Cheska's voice cuts through the chaos, her anger intertwined with heartbreak.
"I wanted to kill you, Sanchez. I wanted to make you suffer for what you did to my mother, to our family. But I won't sink to your level. I won't let your darkness consume me."
The weight of Cheska's words hangs heavily in the air. The truth of Sanchez's actions and the irreparable damage caused by his choices weigh down on their shattered bond.
The Castella family, emotionally drained and exhausted, eventually retreats from the room, leaving Sanchez alone to grapple with his guilt and regret.
As Cheska turns to leave, her eyes lock with Sanchez's for one last time. Anger and disappointment radiate from her gaze, mingling with the tears that stream down her face.
"I hope you rot in here, Sanchez. I hope you never forget the pain you've inflicted on our family."
With that, Cheska walks away, her heart heavy with the burden of shattered trust and the knowledge that Lyka, the girl she once loved, was raised by a the man who killed her mother brutally.
Sanchez chuckled, "I'll see you in court!"
A few days had passed...
The courtroom is filled with tension as the Castella family and the Alexander family face each other.
Sanchez, the accused, sits at the defendant's table, his eyes filled with desperation. The families are divided, their emotions raw and palpable.
The prosecution presents the CCTV footage as evidence, showing Sanchez at the scene of the crime.
Gasps ripple through the courtroom as the image of a man resembling Sanchez is displayed on the large screen.
The prosecutor spoke, "Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, this footage clearly shows the defendant, Sanchez Alexander, at the location and time of the crime. He cannot deny his presence any longer."
Sanchez's gaze flickers between the screen and the Castella family, a mix of fear and denial in his eyes. He stands up, his voice quivering.
"I swear, it's not me! I was not there that night. This is a setup, a conspiracy against me!'
The courtroom murmurs with skepticism, and the employees who witnessed Sanchez's behavior towards Martha take the stand one by one.
Employee 1 spoke, "Your anger towards Martha was well-known in the workplace. You had multiple heated arguments with her before the incident."
EMPLOYEE #2 spoke, "I saw you leaving the office that night, Mr. Alexander. You were furious with Martha. You even made threats."
Despite the mounting evidence, Lyka, Sanchez's daughter, can no longer contain her emotions. Tears stream down her face as she stands up, her voice trembling with anguish.
Lyka spoke, "My father is innocent! He would never hurt anyone, especially not my mother. I know him better than anyone else, and I believe in his innocence. He is innocent! He is INNOCENT!"
Cheska, filled with a mix of anger and betrayal, looks at Lyka with intense hatred and anger.
The room falls into a heavy silence, the weight of their shattered bond hanging in the air.
Cheska angrily slams the table, stood up anf yelled at her with tears in her eyes, "HOW CAN YOU DEFEND HIM? HOW CAN YOU BE BLIND TO THE TRUTH? HE KILLED MY MOTHER, LYKA. HE TOOK HER AWAY FROM ME FOREVER!! FOREVER! LYKA CAN'T YOU SEE?!"
Lyka's sobs grow louder as she tries to speak through her tears.
"Cheska, please... I can't lose my father too. I love him, and I can't imagine a world without him. Please, try to understand."
Cheska's face contorts with a mixture of anger, pain, and disappointment. She turns away from Lyka, unable to bear the sight of her defending the man who destroyed their lives.
The courtroom is engulfed in a heavy silence, the divide between the Castella and Alexander families widening with every passing moment.
The courtroom doors swing open, and people begin to pour out, their emotions still raw from the intense proceedings.
The Castella family walks out, their faces etched with pain and anger. Lyka, tear-stained and angry, spots Cheska standing a few feet away.
Lyka approached her with anger and disgust in her voice, "My father is innocent. He didn't kill your mother.'
Cheska turns to face Lyka, her eyes burning with a mixture of resentment and disgust. She takes a deep breath, steeling herself for the confrontation.
"Don't you dare defend him, Lyka. He may be your father, but he tore our family apart. He took away my mother, and I will never forgive him for that." She smirked.
Lyka's voice quivers with desperation as she tries to make Cheska understand.
"I know it's hard to believe, Cheska, but there's more to this story. There's evidence that proves my father's innocence. Please, just give him a chance."
Cheska's face contorts with anger, her voice laced with bitterness.
"Get lost"
Lyka's tears mix with frustration as she takes a step closer to Cheska.
"I understand your anger, Cheska. But I can't let an innocent man suffer for a crime he didn't commit. Please, just hear me out. Come to the next court meeting. See the evidence for yourself."
Cheska whispers with an angry smirk, her voice threatening her, "Of course, Lyka. I will come to the next court meeting. But don't think for a second that this changes anything. I will fight for justice, for the truth. And I will make sure your father will rot in hell"
The two girls, once in love, now stand divided by pain and anger. They exchange one last intense look before parting ways, each carrying the weight of their emotions.
The hallway falls into silence as they walk in opposite directions, determined to see this trial through to its heartbreaking conclusion.
