Cheska and Gabrielle enter the house hand in hand. They exchange affectionate smiles as they take in the familiar surroundings.
Gabrielle looks around, "Welcome to my humble abode, my love. Make yourself at home."
Cheska grins, 'Thank you, babe. Your home always feels so inviting."
They walk further into the living room, finding a comfortable spot on the plush couch. Cheska nestles into Gabrielle's side, finding solace in their presence.
Gabrielle squeezed Cheska's hand, "I've missed this. Just being here with you, sharing quiet moments."
Cheska rested her head on Gabrielle's shoulders, 'Me too, love. Life gets so hectic sometimes, but when I'm with you, everything feels right."
Gabrielle brushes a strand of hair away from Cheska's face, their eyes locked with an unmistakable tenderness.
That's when Gabrielle's mother walked downstairs and immediately lets go of Cheska's hand, "Hey mom!"
Her mother glared at Cheska, who instantly stood up, "Who's this girl?"
Gabrielle chuckled, "Oh, my best friend"
Cheska was so excited to let Gabrielle's mother know that they're dating but her smile faded upon hearing what Gabrielle said.
Gabrielle's mother looked at Cheska from head to toe, "You don't look like a decent girl at all"
Cheska looked at her clothes and realized she was wearing her school uniform, like Gabrielle, "Oh, what do you mean?" Cheska fakes a smile, her fists crumpled.
Gabrielle's mother walked around Cheska, "Are you sure you're just a friend to my daughter? If you are..." Gabrielle's mother stood right in front of her.
"I can tell who you are just by looking at you, you are indecent who came from a family full of disgrace, I don't like you, you might got some extra low grades and you might influence my daughter"
Cheska secretly tightens her fists, she turns her head to Gabrielle and saw how Gabrielle had her head down, as if she really doesn't have any plans to defend her.
Cheska is secretly asking for help from Gabrielle, but it seems like that Gabrielle just allowed her mother to embarass her lover.
Cheska sighs, "You don't know who my family is" She glared at Gabrielle's mother, "If you think I am an indecent girl then you are mistaken!"
Gabrielle quickly turns her head to Cheska, wanting to stop her, "Don't answer back!"
"WHAT?!" Cheska started raising her voice and laid a finger at Gabrielle's mother, unable to contain her emotions.
"THIS LADY RIGHT HERE IS TRYING TO DISRESPECT ME AND MY FAMILY!"
Gabrielle gasps, "Stop!"
"I AM NOT LETTING SOMEONE DISRESPECT THEM AT ALL!"
Gabrielle's mother gasped, "See?! You are a disgrace! You are disgusting!"
Cheska chuckled, "No! You are disgusting!" Cheska picks up her backpack, "BE THANKFUL THAT YOU DON'T NEED TO SEE YOUR HUSBAND HANG HIMSELF LIKE WHAT MY FATHER DID BEFORE!" Cheska growled and storms out, her words left Gabrielle and her mother in shock.
Gabrielle chased after the fuming Cheska, "Cheska! Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry for what happened to your father but you shouldn't have yelled at my mother like that!" The both of them stopped walking, "She's my mother!"
Cheska scoffed, "Oh right, she can insult me but I can't defend myself?! You know what, Gabbie, sometimes I'm really jealous of you because everyone loves you, you have many friends, you're tall, pretty, smart, talented, creative, what about me?! No matter how hard I work, it's always gonna be someone else, I'm always the other person and you made me feel that way!"
Gabrielle had enough and slapped Cheska in the face, "Don't you say that to me!"
Cheska chuckled, "If Anne did what I did, you would have comforted her!"
"What?! Don't try and bring her up!"
"No! I'm saying the truth, do you love her and plan to replace me?!"
Gabrielle scoffed, "I don't have time for your tantrums!"
"But you have time to handle Anne's tantrums! I am your fucking girlfriend but I act like a servant and you and Anne are the ones that are dating!"
Gabrielle yelled, "Cheska, what are you talking about? I never said anything like that."
Cheska stops pacing and faces Gabrielle, frustration evident in her voice.
"Oh, don't try to deny it, Gabrielle! I heard you talking to Anne yesterday, telling her how much you love her. And what about me? Am I just chopped liver?"
Gabrielle's eyes widen in surprise, realizing what might have happened.
"You're always jealous! You're just overthinking it."
Cheska crosses her arms, her anger still simmering beneath the surface.
Cheska scoffed, "I am not overthinking it! You're always so sweet to her! What? Did you want to leave me for her?!"
"I'm sorry, Cheska. I didn't think it was necessary to explain every detail of my conversation with Anne. I didn't realize you would overrreact"
Cheska's anger worsens slightly, but she remains visibly hurt.
"Gabbie, you're my girlfriend. We've been through so much together. I thought we could share everything, but now I feel like I'm being pushed aside for someone else."
Gabrielle steps closer to Cheska, reaching out to place a hand on her shoulder.
"Just don't overthink it!"
Cheska looks into Gabrielle's eyes, searching for sincerity. After a moment, she lets out a sigh, her anger starting to dissipate.
"And I was highly humiliated, you introduced me to your mother because you wanted us to be legal but then you denied us?!"
Gabrielle nods, her expression filled with remorse.
"I just realized, that my mom wouldn't like you at all and wouldn't even accept that I dated the same gender as me, it's embarassing and I don't want my mom to feel disappointed."
Cheska sighs, "What you did was really hurtful, you shouldn't have introduced me to your mom anyways..." Cheska walks away.
