Ava sits on her couch, her face contorted in discomfort as she cradles her head in her hands. She feels a persistent headache throbbing, and a wave of nausea washes over her.
Gertrude paces back and forth in the living room, her brows furrowed with worry.
"Ava, are you feeling any better? I'm really concerned about you. Should I call a doctor?"
"I don't know, grandma. I've been feeling so sick lately. The headaches just won't go away, and... I don't know what's wrong with me."
Gertrude's concern deepens, and she rushes to Ava's side, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"Maybe it's time to see a doctor, sweetie, just to be safe. It could be something more serious"
Ava's face pales slightly, her mind racing with worry. But then, a thought crosses her mind.
Another time, Ava wakes up, feeling a sense of unease lingering over her.
She stretches her tired limbs and sits up, her hand instinctively moving to her stomach. She can't shake off the feeling that something is different.
"It's been days now... these symptoms... they can't be a coincidence."
Meanwhile, Cody sits nervously on the edge of his bed, contemplating the difficult conversation he's about to have with his parents.
He takes a deep breath, steeling himself for their reaction as he walks towards the living room.
Cody enters the living room, where his parents, sit on the couch. Their faces are serious, and a tension fills the room.
"Mom, Dad, I need to talk to you about something important."
His mom looks up from her book, a disapproving expression on her face.
"What is it, Cody? Make it quick. We expect you to be focused on your studies."
Cody takes a deep breath, summoning his courage.
"I've been doing a lot of thinking, and... I want to pursue a career as a YouTuber."
His dad's face darkens with anger, his voice filled with frustration.
"A YouTuber? Are you kidding me, Cody? You want to waste your time making silly videos instead of pursuing a respectable profession?"
Cody looks down, feeling the weight of his parents' disappointment.
"Being a YouTuber is something I'm passionate about. I want to create content that entertains and inspires people."
His dad's voice drips with disdain.
"Passion won't pay the bills, Cody. We want you to become a lawyer, a profession that guarantees stability and success."
Cody's heart sinks, but he maintains his composure.
"I know being a lawyer is a respected profession, but it's not what I see myself doing. I want to take a different path and explore my creative side."
His dad's face turns red with anger.
"You're being foolish, Cody! We won't allow you to throw away your future by chasing some fleeting online fame. You will be a lawyer, and you will dedicate yourself to your studies. No distractions."
Cody's shoulders slump, his voice resigned.
"Okay, Mom, Dad. I understand. I'll become a lawyer and prioritize my studies above all else."
His mom's tone softens slightly, mixed with frustration and disappointment.
"We're doing this for your own good, Cody. We want you to have a secure and prosperous future."
Cody nods, his eyes downcast, hiding his true feelings.
"I understand, Mom. I'll do my best."
He turns to leave the room, his dreams pushed aside for the sake of his parents' expectations.
