After 2 hours, more than 10 different shops, and a lot of discussion between me and my brothers, we finally sit down at a fastfood place. My legs hurt from walking this much and my ribs aren't doing anything better. I can't even sit down properly on my chair In  fear of hurting them even more.

Adrian asks us each what we want to eat from the McDonald's. I've never had it before so I just order the same thing as Lucas did, and he goes up to the front to place our order.

Lucas turns to me and asks:

"Do you have anything else you need? We could go to a different mall if the store you want to visit isn't in this one."

I quickly shake my head no, not wanting to cause them even more trouble. They already bought me way more stuff than I need, after I clearly told them not to, and they spended a lot of money on me. They didn't only bought me clothes but they also bought me a bunch of books after they just saw me looking at a book in a shops display. Again, I told them I didn't need it and they didn't need to spend that much money on me, but they waved it off and still did the opposite as I asked them to.

Lucas nods and looks around the place. I notice a baby playing with his food, and starting to cry when he drops his fries. I see his dad standing up from his chair, mad, and I close my eyes, not wanting to see the punishment the baby's gonna get. When I open them again I see the baby, against my expectations in, smiling and laughing and playing with his fries again like nothing happened. His dad is sitting back on his chair and he doesn't seem mad or angry at all at the little kid. I frown my eyebrows slightly.

If I would've done something like that I would get a punishment, or atleast a slap to the face. Why doesn't the baby get a punishment? Don't understand me wrong, I'm glad he didn't get one, but I'm just confused as of why he didn't get one. Is he still too young to get punished?

Out of the corner of my eye I see Adrian
walking to our table with two plateaus in his hand, filled to the brim with food.
I never had McDonald's, but it all looks so good. Adrian places the plateaus on the table and everyone picks up their food from it. I pick up a colorful box and a tiny cardboard box with the word big Mac on it, written in yellow. I see Lucas doing the same and he starts unfolding the bigger box. I just copy his movements, having no clue how this works. When the box is unfolded, I'm surprised to see a small pouch of fries, another tiny cardboard box and something wrapped in plastic being hidden in this mystery box. There're also 2 sauce containers standing next to the portion of food.

I don't know if I will be able to eat all of this. It's nothing compared to what the rest of my brothers ordered, but it's just that I've never had this big of a meal before.

I pick up a frie and dip it in the white-ish sauce named mayonnaise, and put it in my mouth.

Holly shit, this is so good!

I pick out a chicken nugget out of one of the cardboard boxes and put this in my mouth too. This also tastes like heaven. I look over to my brothers to see them almost finished with their food.

I guess I really am a slow eater.

After half of the fries and 3 chicken nuggets, my stomach is full and Is about to burst. I slump back in my chair and relax, seeing I'm finished a bit before most of my brothers. I look to my right and see Lucas slumped back in his chair too. He smiles at me and, obviously, I smile back.

"Now for the best part Zina." He tells me. I look at him in confusion. Wasn't the food the best part? Do I have to eat even more? I don't think my stomach can handle that.

He looks at me surprised.

"You don't know what I'm talking about? We ordered a happy meal, so that means it's now time to unbox our toy." He explains.

Happy meal? Toy? What the hell is he talking about?

I'm guessing the confusion is written on my face because he adds:

"You've never eaten a happy meal before? Woah, you missed out on life."

"Yeah we didn't have a McDonald's nearby in Texas." I lie straight trough my teeth.  Luckily Lucas seems to believe it because he nods understanding.

He picks up his, in plastic wrapped toy and picks up mine too and hands me it.

"Okay so there are a few different toys you can collect. This time you can collect characters from" he takes a glance at the tiny note that comes with the toy. "Care bears. Isn't that cute? I already have shy bear and love bear. I hope I have truthful bear this time since I don't have that one yet and it's a legendary one."

I have no idea what he's saying but it doesn't matter since it looks like he's talking about a subject which makes him happy.

"Let's open our toys together yeah?"

I nod and get ready to pull the plastic of.

He counts down from three and on 1 I start ripping the plastic off. A light blue bear pops out and a little note with all the bears you can collect on is attached to it. I look on the note and see I got helpful bear and I also spot the bears Lucas was talking about. The 'legendary' bear is painted in a gold color and you can clearly see this one's special.

I hear a shriek next to me and look over to Lucas. He sits there wobbling on his chair from excitement, with a gold painted bear in his hands.

"I got it Zina, I got it!" He tells me with a beaming smile on his face.

"Yeah I can tell." I laugh at his happiness.

He goes to his collectable paper and checks off the column next to truthful bear.

"Which one did you get?" Lucas asks me.

"I got helpful bear." I tell him.

"Oooh I don't have that one yet. It fits you."

I hand him the bear.

"Here you can have it, so you can add it to your collection."

He smiles brightly at me and thanks me a million times.

"Yes now my collection is almost complete, plus, I will have a memorie of you added to it." He says more to himself than to me.

While I think it cute, Diego has a different opinion as I hear him mutter 'childish' besides me. Luckily Lucas didn't hear him because I wouldn't want Diego to ruin his happiness. Lucas goes on and on talking about his collection of care bears, and I just sit  not being able to fit in, but just listen carefully.

"And now my collection is almost complete because I have the legendary one added to it. And that's all thanks to you, 'cause your my lucky charm." He rants on and on.

Event though he might not realise it, my
heart warms more everytime he even takes the time to talk to me or share a story with me. Just because I know he thrusts me with his stories and knows I won't judge him.

Okay, I actually think this chapter Is really cute. Also I know literally nothing abt care bears so the names or colors are most likely wrong, don't mind that.
